If I lived in the area this would be my GO TO course
Fairways were in great shape, nice layout too. Only struggled to find red tees 2-3 times due to lack of signage. Green aprons had recently been aerated but didn’t impact our play. Overall a great time on a beautiful course
Beautiful
A beautiful course but wish we were informed that the front 9 was closed due to working on the greens. Unfortunately we had to play the back.9 twice which was not the plan when looking for a course to play...Our tee time was for 12:00 and we were irritated that mowers were mowing the fairways which is fine but the older gentleman didn’t care that we were waiting on him. He saw us but didn’t care and just kept mowing. We ended up just hitting over him. Other than that it is absolutely a beautiful course and very well kept. We will be back. The clubhouse staff was very friendly..
A Gem
This course was a gem. First time playing this course and we will be returning soon. Very friendly staff and the course was immaculate...absolutely beautiful!! This is a must play course. Thank you
Best course I've played this year
We played the front nine of this course in a steady drizzle, but had no problems with the back. The result was that we had the course to ourselves. I think typically this course gets a ton of play, so be aware that it can get clogged up.
The course was in excellent shape. The greens, despite the amount of member rounds are well maintained. The wet conditions made the greens very receptive, but these greens have a lot of subtle breaks, so pay attention.
This is not a long course, but its has plenty of trees, sand, dog legs, and up hill holes to provide plenty of defense. My favorite holes on the front were 5 and 6 and 15 and 18 on the back.
You will not regret playing this course.
This course is in fantastic condition. Traditional front nine with a modern feel on the back.
Southern Hills quite possibly might be one of the best golf courses you will play all year! With its rolling hills, very well manicured tee boxes, fairways and firm fast greens. Southern Hills Golf Course takes pride in everything they do, from the greeting you receive when you walk in the door until the time you leave! Go play and see it for yourself.
