Nice little course just off the hwy in Central Michigan
I stopped in for a quick round on my way north to play Arcadia Bluffs. Course was in fantastic condition for early November and the mx staff does a great job of keeping the leaves out of play. The greens had recently been aerated and the sand mixed with the early morning dew made it difficult to really roll the putts very well but the greens looked very well maintained and I imagine roll very good. The course is on a pretty tight piece of property but I thought it was an excellent routing and really didn’t think there were any bad holes. My advice for first time players is to pay attention the hole lay out on the cart GPS screens. 3 times during the round I found myself in a small pond that I didn’t realize was there. They are often not visible until you get right up on them. Strictly my fault for not paying attention.
I will definitely be back again as it’s right off the hwy up to northern Michigan.
Great way to start a weekend
Staff is amazing and the course was immaculate. Greens were smooth and the in cart GPS was great and accurate. Hidden gem for sure.
Very nice course!
The greens are fast as heck, made it for a fun 18.
I said the other word but GN is kinda like Facebook! Lol
Course has gone down hill very badly
Super disappointed after playing this course today. This used to be one of my favorite courses, but it seems like they have really let it go. Many dry and dead spots on fairways/greens. Greens are absolutely torn to shreds. Fringe on greens is absolutely terrible. The bunkers look like they have never been raked. Divots in fairways look like they are never replaced or filled with sand. Rough is so inconsistent and soggy in many places or hard as a rock in some. Unfortunately I don’t think I will be coming back here as 56 dollars is just way too much for what the course is now. I wouldn’t recommend playing it if your paying more than 20-25 bucks. Sad to see such a great course gone downhill so quickly.....
Great course, Fast Greens
Great location and challenging, really fast greens! Well manicure...definitely will return for another round
Our Wednesday Outing!
We have played there every Wednesday evening for the past couple of months! Outstanding course!
Slick greens
Great layout. After opening birdie. Reality set in pretty fast on the 2nd hole had a 20 foot birdie putt with a 6 foot break. Thought i did not reach the each of the down slope and skated 7 feet past on the high side. Walk away with bogie. That was the way the day continued. Slick and readable greens. Best have a confidence stroke to score well.
Tight greens
Undulating greens cut very close. Must use restraint when putting or you’ll go way past the hole, that being said, it’s a great challenge!
Fun Course
This 1-18 hole course is quite forgiving for the average player.
As good as it gets locally
The best in Lansing - beautiful range, beautiful fairways and greens second to none
FAST Greens, Great conditions
Love this layout. Most holes are straight back and forth although some dramatic elevation changes and good variety of short and long distances. LOVE the greens, they always roll true, but are some of the FASTEST around!!! Decent prices and very good food at the turn.
Good Buy
Course was in great condition and the play was very challenging. The greens are fast but smooth and very putable. The course has a good variety of challenging holes of varying lengths and configurations which are fun to play. I'd recommend this course to any level golfer. It's a good value.
Course was very nice, not much leaves ,well kept fairways and greens.
Course was great as always. We did run into slow play and found out when we called while on the course that there was an 8 person groups doing an ironman tourney going on ahead of us. We wish we had known this in advance or told about it before we went onto the course.Maybe golf now could get this information for us.
Thank you so much for the great review. Look forward to seeing you this 2018 season!
