About
Situated just north of Ithaca's city limits, Fields Golf Course is just off US 127, providing easy highway access. It has a central location that is less than an hour from Lansing and only 25 minutes south of Mt. Pleasant, making it a great meeting point. The par-70 layout measures a player-friendly 5,600 yards. The golf course will appeal to all players, including seniors, women, and juniors. The terrain is mostly flat though there are a few subtle but tricky slopes. A smattering of trees frame the holes and you will also come across several strategically placed bunkers, but there is nothing that is overly challenging for the high handicapper. In addition to the course, the Fields also offers a practice area with a driving range and practice green.

Gas
Straight gas. Greens aren’t great but it’s the end of the season, deal with it. They are a great course that offers cheap play.
18 green impossible
Had fun. Slow pace but holiday weekend. The 18 hole was clownish. 3 times I put up by the hole. It rolled all the way back 20 feet. On the 4th attempt. I sunk a 20 foot put for a 9!!!!!!!!! Bad taste.
Good for the price
I've golfed this course three times now. The greens are challenging but a little dried out.
Greens
Greens would not hold,had to play short and roll onto the green.18th green was illegal.
Had a great time
The Fields had very friendly staff and a well maintained course. Layout is a little wonky but signage is good. Hope I get to play it again.
Meh
The time/day we played was great. No one on the course.
Course is wide open. Not many hazards.
No clear path/direction to the next hole. Funky layout. Short course.
Greens were very challenging. Tee boxes need work. Very uneven.
Definitely fun for the money.
Will golf there again.
SLOW slow and slowest
Tough to say this. But if you have a women's league. You need to BLOCK 1 hour behind them. 3 hours and 45 minutes for 9 holes. I veered off without permission and played the front 9 again. That was quick.
Beautiful busy course
The course looked great and was an excellent shape. Very few hazards to deal with but some challenging greens. The only problem was dealing with three groups at every hole. Then when finishing the front nine, there was another foursome waiting to start at hole 10 so we ended up having to move ahead and try to piece the rest of our round together. Staff was great it just felt overbooked on this day. I would go back in hopes that I wouldn’t feel so rushed.
Great course with challenging greens.
This course is a gem. Not very busy but when it is pace of play is great. Course conditions are great as well, the greens are the only thing that had some rough spots which doesn’t bother me. Carts have coolers and a clubs/ball wash spot. 100% my new “home” course.
The Fields
Greens and fairways in excellent condition.
Improvements to the course around the greens and cart paths are nice. Rough was uneven and the whole course was somewhat firm.
Tee boxes need work, they are not remotely level.
Carts were in good shape. With cooler and club washer.
I’d golf there again.
Great value
Driving through neighborhoods is a new experience. If you don’t hit the ball relatively straight you will get frustrated. Greens in great condition and fair breaks and pin locations. Staff very friendly. Booked on Golf now for 14 and change. Best 18 holes you can play for the price! Will be back
Overall
Staff very friendly, fairways were great, greens were in fantastic shape and fast , weather was chilly but have played in much colder, overall excellent—especially for October
