Father and Son day
We played the back 9 conditions and greens were great!
Tee Boxes and Fairways need time
All the greens were in decent shape. Most of the tee boxes and fairways need attention and time to grow in. Played in a little over 4 hours and for less than $40 with a cart.
New Season
Still affordable for the average golfer. Course not in poor condition for this time of year.
Course was very muddy!
Slight rain the night before and unfortunately the course was very wet! The course has very challenging greens which make for a fun round in spite of the wet fairways and tee boxes. Love the layout. Last but not least, a great staff, that greet you in the parking lot, and help with your bag! The office, cashier, is always friendly and pleasant, and greets everyone with a smile!!!
Winter Rules for playing ciurse
Not much grass on fairways but it is still winter. Greens ok and very fast. Pace of play good.
Winter golf
Play here a lot because of convenience. Not your ideal public course but a good place to get out and play without being abused cost wise . That being said course is in horrible shape. Beaver pelts, cart tracks,,bare lies, and beer cans all over the place. No ranger to police idiots on the course. Case in point huge CART PATHS ONLY sign near 1st tee and what does group in front of us do. Army golf all over the fairway and starter doesn’t do anything thing. Oh well
February Treat
Got a winter round in on President’s Day; a little backed up waiting for carts, but we got 18 in; practice range needs new mats for upcoming season; we’ll be back
Even though it was a Cold windy day and the fairways wet from previous days rain the course allowed carts out which was a bonus . (Cart path only) which was understandable . Staff is always friendly and starter’s are accommodating. . Will play again for sure
Welcome Mid-February break in the weather got everyone outside here
Cedar Creek is situated in a local park in Ocean County, NJ. It's 10 minutes away from the Garden State Parkway Exit 77 and easy to find. On a pretty busy morning due to the nice weather, the Pro Shop and Starter got me out as a single well before my tee time. The course played fairly easy on the front nine, but things got interesting on the back nine. Most holes on the back are either up an incline or down an incline or both. Combined with extremely wet fairways and lots of water and sand and cart path only restrictions, the back nice became very challenging, as you are usually required to hit an accurate long iron to get on to the green to make par.Luckily, I was paired with two players about my age and handicap who made the day enjoyable. I was told the greens were just 'rolled', so even wet and soft, they played fast. The greens on all 18 holes are challenging, especially #17 which is the shortest hole on the course, hitting straight up a big hill. I would like to play this course again when it dries out.
Very friendly people work there
When I got to the course they told us there was no carts so we had to walk first time I walked in 15 years course is kind of hilly to walk for 70 year old wWe made the best of it
