greens need work, all greens are chewed up and chppy

I was disappointed about this course. The layout is so confusing and if you haven't played there before, you will definitely get lost. Holes numbers aren't posted anywhere and directions to the next hole are stuck on trees with just an arrow pointing the way (that is if you find the sign when leaving the green). In some cases, you have to cross a hole - coming in the opposite direction - to go to the next hole.

With that said, I don't mind confusing layouts if the greens and tee boxes are kept in shape. Greens were full of craters and dead grass. The Tee boxes were full of sand and dead grass. First and last time playing here.. Plenty of courses in Monmouth County to play.

The greens were in terrible shape. Cruz has greens that are way better. Other then that, tee boxes and fairways are ok

The greens if you want to call them that are concrete . With bare spots. Can't roll a putt to save your life.you can drop a ball from A plane and it won't make a ball mark. Pace of play brutal . At 16 minutes apart there shouldn't be any issues. Not here. If it takes you 10 shots to get on a par 4. Wouldn't you be better off and have more fun buying a bottle of vodka and hanging with your buds ? How is it fun? This games not cheap.why do people who suck continue to play? I just don't understand. It's really old. There gotta be a system where 75 handicappers can only play after 6 pm. The staff is friendly for what that's worth. Between horrid greens and waiting 15 minutes per shot I'm sorry the course can just be open for people who shot 176 for 18 holes.

The layout has potential however the staff should work on improving the greens! Many are in very poor condition to the point where they are unputtable. It’s too bad really as it a decent layout. As for the bunkers, just fill them in with grass and be done with them. Again, aweful condition.

Nice accommodations for COVID. Friendly staff. Much nicer course than the pictures let on, surprisingly. Nice setting in Allaire. Could improve on the greens and signage/distance marking though.

Hats Off to the Maintenance Team at Spring Meadow!. Played there 2 years ago and thought the course was closing with unplayable greens (fungus) and a course that was not being kept up at all. Played today and what a difference - on its way back for sure. Greens have made a huge comeback. Fairways are well kep ect. Congrats.

This course has improved 10 fold from a few years ago. Its really grown on me. A couple very forgettable holes (1, 17) are offset by many interesting and especially long ones. For being in the middle of a development, it doesn't feel like it. Lots of challenging approach shots on front 9. Back 9 has a lot of length.

Course is in good shape and is well maintained. Greens are a bit bumpy but fast.

Nice to have I’d station open with food, and drinks including mixed and wine available as well as a roving cart. Rangers were quite helpful.

Probably because of the pandemic and being spring growing season, the course has had a chance to rest and get caught up on some well needed maintenance. I had two Golfnow coupons which made the price very reasonable.

Have played sm. Many times. Course following covid19 guidelines excellent. I must say I thought it was in pretty good shape. Greens ran true nice grass all around . Fast pace of play . Had a very enjoyable round

Holes without numbers. , cups full raised, thought we played 18. On played 17. Unable to find hole we missed. Nothing is marked. Basically playing in a golf abyss don’t waste your time

For the price, other courses nearby are much better. Greens were terrible. Bunkers are full of rocks so you can’t hit from them unless you want to ruin your wedge. And pace of play was terrible. Threesome, twosome, single, threesome. Take your money elsewhere.

Wonderful course located on State Park grounds. Well manicured, fast greens and super friendly staff!!
