Pinch Brook Golf Course in Florham Park may be a short course, but it should not be underestimated. The layout offers all the challenges of a championship course conveniently wrapped in an executive-length course. Water hazards come into play on nearly every hole, including a pond on the seventh that is shaped like the state of New Jersey. The elevated and undulating greens putt fast and true. They present a test for even the most seasoned golfers. The par-3 holes are particularly tough. Most of them feature strategically placed bunkers fiercely guarding the double-tiered greens, that or a forced carry. The golf course is great for honing your short game skills or for squeezing in a quick but challenging round. Pinch Brook G.C. is hailed by locals as the best short course in northern New Jersey.

Good course

Course was in great condition and pretty good value. The course is pretty short with 9 or so par 3 holes, would have enjoyed a couple more par 5s. Good round and will definitely be returning.

Make the Best outta of it

Very Hot day . Booking w GolfNow is misleading . You book it for $52 & Then when you show up they tag you for another $18 ... no big deal , but the course is only worth $52 all in ... slow pace of play, kinda takes the sail outta your winds . I got on a stretch of birdies then outta nowhere I’m waiting on the tee box . Nothing more frustrating! Thank god for the REAL GREEN ! Ya heard ?

First time at Pinch Brook

First time at this course and overall it was an enjoyable experience. Course play was slow on the front 9 but picked up on the back 9. Only negative was that there was no driving range, but I have come to find out that many courses in the NYC/NJ area do not have one or currently have them closed due to COVID concerns.

Great course, but the rangers were just rude and do not show incoming guests respect. At all. They yelled at me for driving the cart in the WRONG AREA, and we’re not kind about it

Pinch Brook looking good

Course was in great shape and they've adapted really well with a couple of outdoor grills and drink stations. Played it in three hours flat and we waited at times because we were a twosome following two foursomes. Ideal for a late afternoon round and for working on medium distance Par 3's. I will definitely be playing again soon.

Not worth it

This course is overpriced at all times, even with a county card. Although the staff was nice, especially the starter, the lack of communication amongst the staff caused an uneasy and stressful scene. It looked like groups took it upon themselves to start on the back 9 under no direction from the staff. Cart allocation was an issue as well. The staff has very little control over many of the basic functions of public golf course management. I will say that COVID restrictions do play a slight role in these issues.

Awful Experience - Find another course

Was looking forward to spending the day on the course with my adult son. He called in advance to confirm, and was told I could ride in the cart, as I have a leg injury. He was told “no problem” by the person who answered the phone in the office. However, once we arrived, the entire scene changed thanks to the crotchety starter. My son dropped me off at the office, my leg bound in a leg brace, wearing throngs, While he went to park the car. The starter asked if I was playing. I laughed and said “not today. I’m riding in the cart.” He said “oh, you need a cart? Not sure we have any.” First signal. My son arrived, and went to pay. He came out and he was asked by the starter three times for his name. My son had to show him his name on the list. He then asked my son how many holes we were playing. My son said 18. The starter looked at me and asked how many holes I was playing. I said “I’m going along for the ride.” The starter ran into the office for a minute, we thought to get the cart. He came out and told my son he needed to go inside since “they need to talk to you.” My son came out and told me I wasn’t permitted to ride, since they haven’t allowed that in 3 years. The starter couldn’t let me ride in the cart. I clearly wasn’t playing. No clubs, no shoes, leg injury, flip flips. I guess he wanted a tip for his bubbly personality. Horrible experience. No class. And the course is in need of sprucing up from what I could see.
