Pinch Brook Golf Course
About
Pinch Brook Golf Course in Florham Park may be a short course, but it should not be underestimated. The layout offers all the challenges of a championship course conveniently wrapped in an executive-length course. Water hazards come into play on nearly every hole, including a pond on the seventh that is shaped like the state of New Jersey. The elevated and undulating greens putt fast and true. They present a test for even the most seasoned golfers. The par-3 holes are particularly tough. Most of them feature strategically placed bunkers fiercely guarding the double-tiered greens, that or a forced carry. The golf course is great for honing your short game skills or for squeezing in a quick but challenging round. Pinch Brook G.C. is hailed by locals as the best short course in northern New Jersey.

Nice & Enjoyable
Very good alternative (practice) for high/mid handicappers with 7(!) par 3's. Slow pace/slow foursomes..... can use a reminder from a ranger.
Good overall condition and easy layout.....
Terrific County Course
We have played Pinch Brook almost a dozen times in the last 2 years. And the staff is great. Even at 6:15 in the morning when we were all trying to wake up. From the Pro Shop staff, to the starters, and to the guys on the lawn care beat everyone has been professional AND personable. It has become one of our Go To courses and will remain so for sometime I would say.
Friendly customer service starter and pro shop very pleasant good overall experience
Course needs some upkeep
Been playing pinch brook for a few years and it’s always been a nice little walk on a short course that I can get a quick 9 on. But after my last round, it feels like they’ve let some problems go unaddressed for too long. The recent aeration on the back 9 has completely torn up the greens. Multiple tee boxes are totally lost. Seems like there’s fill sand everywhere except in the actual fairway bunkers - some of which have overgrown with grass!
Hope they change their approach soon before some of these problems become too big to fix.
Nice, Enjoyable...... Recommended
Short (par 65) course with mostly par 3's.
Easy layout with few challenges.... good for high handicap golfers or practice.
Although the greens were generally in decent shape, the tee boxes were in very poor condition.
Excellent All-Around
Everything from the staff to the greens, truly excellent course for all!
Good enough
Easy course for my wife - except #9. Play couples golf 9 holes here. Close to home and just very easy. Often slow as was gthis round, despite a ranger trying rto speed things up. Big rain over a week ago and many badly unprepared areas. And tees more sand than grass. But good enough for us for what we need it for.
Worst I've seen it
Sad to say but Pinchbrook is not worth playing as of 8/4/24. The bunkers have no sand in them - just mud and rocks. The blue and white tees however are full of sand - you cannot find enough grass on the tee to be able to tee your ball up and also be standing on grass at the same time. It's a mess of sand filled divots and Un even stances. Greens are ok but lots of chopped areas.
Definitely not worth the money they are charging to play here. It is sad - I've been playing here for 30 years and it's on a downward spiral.
