Up and coming
I’ve been playing this course for over 4 years now and in the beginning I discovered it in a state of having been left to die.
Now it is an absolute Phoenix rising from the ashes.
The improvements to the course are beautiful. The care is obvious in the fairways in particular. Overgrown tree periphery has been removed all over the property and there are probably 6 holes that have been totally refurbished. Great job. There’s a lot going on here as there’s both demolition and new construction of restaurant and entertainment venue in progress, but the course is a solid challenge played from the blues. Good luck!
Big Al
Course needs a lot of work good layout POOR drainage very slow greens a lot of potential but needs some money and TLC put into it
Classic Tillinghast Layout
Fun course. Green complexes are fantastic. Some of the fairways in tough shape, but appreciate the efforts of the current owner to bring this gem back.
The course is in the middle of renovation and isn't ready for play.
with way too much construction/destruction activity going on around the perimeters and several holes not ready for play. On one hole the enormous grinder(?) was spewing pieces of wood - one a foot long, could have really hurt someone - all over the place. I'll try it again in a year.
Nice course, improvements being made
Suneagles is a great local course. I love the layout and the course is taken care of. They have recently gotten a new superintendent who is adamant on making the course superb and the recent changes are noticeable. That being said a major issue still prevalent is the lack of proper drainage, and the new greens are not fully grown in. I have played the course multiple times and still have never been able to drive the cart on the par 5 11th (which is a major pain in the butt). Course is very walkable so don't shy away from it, although they added fantastic new carts. I am concerned with the new changes they might move to make the course private or just expensive.
underwater course
Would not play again for the rest of the summer.
Very wet and flooded from rain. Cart path only entire course. Should have walked.
They need to address the drainage.
Needs Work but has potential
Course was a swamp, no drainage and it hadn’t even rained that day. I played Howell earlier that morning and no issues with the rain from a day before. Every hole was cart path only, which made riding a waste of money as it actually slowed pace of play down. I’ve played here a few times (and had fun) and a lot of money is going into it and the much needed amenities and ambiance, but I won’t play here again until all the upgrades are finished. That being said, the course layout is fun and challenging though not enough water holes. The staff are aces too.
Course Closed
Due to heavy rain storm the day before, parts of the course flooded, Course called me informing me they could not open that day.
Could not refund me for a sick golfer? Unacceptable
I showed up 20 minutes early to notify the course that our 4th golfer had a fever but still wanted to play. they would not refund nor give me a green fee coupon for a future use and told me only GOLFNOW could help. I opted to tell him to stay home to avoid the risk of getting others sick at the course as a courtesy and the corse would not honor a coupon refund and they claimed it has to come from GOLFNOW?
I would appreciate some assistance on a resolution
Nice Course
Liked course only negative was all the construction and missing signage directions to the next hole. This course was a fair challenge but greens were multi tiered and had lots of break.
