Good Experience
The course was great. Greens were slow but I can’t complain about that. Overall it was a good round
Getting better every day
Getting better every day This course used to be a disaster but after much drainage work and maintenance it has become a very pleasurable course to play. There is still plenty of work to be done but they have come a long long way. I recommend you come back and try this course again.
Great Condition
The new management team has invested in the course and it shows. Currently in better condition than area courses. Great job, Steve and team.
Gem.
It’s a little gem at the Shore. Management is great and they are investing in the course. The Pro Steve is cool. Cart girls with beer. And at 6.300 yards, it’s a true Tillinghast test. It’s all about the approach shots to small, well guarded greens. In great shape after Covid.
The Investment in the Course is Evident
The course has improved tremendously over the past several years since being taken over by new owners. With a little more time to let the fairways grow in, this course will be in excellent shape.
Great
Great value for a great course. Friendly staff. Long, challenging, but score-able course. Lots of fun.
Great course great value.
I’ve been playing this course for a few years now and I love it. The back 9 is a great challenge with a few long par 5s. Recent renovations have made the course beautiful. Absolutely love playing here!
Great Course
The course was in great shape and pace of play was great too. Good job keeping it safe for everyone. Can’t wait to come back!
Much improved
Much improved. The course is very good. Staff are phenomenal. Very courteous and very attentive. The carts are meticulously sanitized. And play time is very good with the Ranger keeping the pace moving This course has come along way in the past 12 months and is on its way to being one of the premier private courses in Monmouth County.
Classic Tillinghaus
Owners pouring money into maintenance and looks. Course in great shape and improving weekly. Great value and friendly staff.
Nice improvements
I have played here several times in the past and it was always mediocre. Improvements have been made over the past off-season, and they have made a huge difference. There is still work to be done but much that was wrong with this course has been corrected. I’ll continue to play here.
Still work to do.
Staff is great. Friendly and helpful, especially during Covid-19.
Love the changes to the course by new management/owners. Really opened up trouble spots. #’s 7, 8, 9 & 10 look so much better. #’s 16 & 17 also. Opening up the area around 15 green will help tremendously for the health of the green.
Problems continue to persist on #’s 1 & 11 fairways. Don’t understand it. Last played 2 years ago and both were under repair then.....2 years later and they still aren’t playable.
Not sure if it’s something new or just the particular day I played, but the greens were extremely slow and seemed like they hadn’t been cut in a long time. Very surprised to see that after being closed for about two months.
Overall, glad to see the direction that the new owners are heading in!
Back after twenty years.
Course is in good shape and greens are nice with nice contours.
Mother’s Day Gold
Course was in good shape. Pace of play was good. First time we walked this course. Beautiful day. Stay safe
Horrible experience
By far the worst golf experience I've ever had. The course shouldn't have even been open. The fairways felt more like a toxic waste landfill. The greens weren't even playable. If it wasn't for it being $30 thanks to a hot deal I would have demanded my money back. This was my first time playing there and will surely be my last. If they hope for people to return come summertime, I would recommend they give refunds to anyone that has played recently.
