The approach shot over water on #10 Photo submitted by Michael4721223 on 11/27/2017
They've spent a lot of money upgrading this course. It would have been perfect have they not sanded the greens?
The course had just been sanded on all the teas so we could only play the back 9 twice.
Will be nice when done
It is obvious that the course will be nice when complete. However with all the construction, false green, only 1 peg for each hole as a tee box it was not worth the money. However in the future we will try again because it's not course neglect but rather a work in progress
Progressing nicely
Course continues to go through rehabilitation, so tees are temporary. The most challenging item is the many bunkers, the sand is in great shape only bunker draining problem was on the 8th hole with held quite a bit of water. Although we had cart path only, it was not crowded but we played a 4:30 round, we plan on continuing to play there thru rehab and improvements
Under construction
Call before you go and ask if construction is finished
Tough time to play right now. Will be better in the future!
Was tough paying $85 for a round with a cart for a Monday morning in March. Guys in the pro shop were great. Golf carts are new with GPS and Bluetooth speakers. Four or five temporary tee boxes. One temporary green. They’re dumping a ton of money into the actual golf course, which is going to be nice this coming season if they can complete it all by then. Bunkers were immaculate. Greens are FAST. The grass seems to be primed for this coming growing season. EXTENSIVE construction, as they’re building townhomes within the complex, which won’t be completed for some time. They’re also renovating the club house. Can’t knock them for trying to make something special, just not the best time go golfing. I’ll definitely revisit, as it has the potential to be something really nice.
Fast Greens, Great condition!
Love this course. Surprised how the greens were rolling as fast as a bowling lane, which I do not remember always being the case. They keep the course in great condition, and I cant complain about a single thing.
Renovating right
Course renovations continue, some holes were fairway only, understandable, some rain recently made the course soft. We had a great time, as we took advantage of a "Hot deal"
Looking good in Feb, will be amazing come spring
Played in a Sunday in February, while there’s a lot of work going on, fairways, greens and bunkers are all in great shape. The course can definitely handle a higher volume when the weather gets nice
The layout is challenging, probably used every club in my bag. There’s a few holes where you want to be with a local or you’ll end up in the water
Pro shop staff was super friendly, and check in was a breeze. Carts with gps, Bluetooth speakers, leather cushions are a nice touch
Winter gilf
Found a nice day with little wind. Appreciate they are pumping funds into this course. Very excited to play this Spring after work is completed! Some temporary tee boxes and a temp green, but looks good. Cart path Only, but good idea to keep fairways in good condition!
Construction zone!!
Expensive round considering the chainsaws and construction going on/off everywhere. Waste of time until they sort the course out. It's more accurate of a statement to say the golf course got in the way of the buildings than the other way around. We have such great places to go play in the area, this would be on par with Cruz Farm on a rainy day and double the price.
Positives would be GPS in the carts and..... that's about it. They actually stuck a flag in the fairway and called it a green? Thats not an exaggeration it's because of winter issues and construction. I literally putted on a fairway today?? If they gave a discount or at least a warning I might have let it go. It was hard to even find the next hole with only about half of them marked. I could go on, but I already am giving this course to much afterthought. It's worse than bad seafood. Save your money and go anywhere else until they figure out priorities. I wish I had this review before I lost 85 dollars.
Disclaimer:
I just got home so I'm still a bit bitter when writing this. I don't get many weekdays off to play and I just paid hard earned money and time for not much satisfaction.
Impressive improvements
I played the course in the past, it did not drain well even if rained several days earlier. Improvements have the course draining well, and the bunkers were 90% dry. The work being done is very nice, the holes are challenging and difficult greens with varing undulation, short holes that are deceivingly tough. While there were temporary tee boxes and a temporary green, my group enjoyed the round.
Tough Track!
Amazing and challenging golf course! Easy to walk with greens very fast. Some course improvement going on on 6 green and 1 tee leaving both holes in temporary positions.
Not worth it
Overpriced especially considering the construction, temp tee boxes and overall course unsightliness. They should be discounting their green fees by at least 40-60%.
A Lot of Improvements
The course is definitely in much better shape than it ever has been. Without the Golfnow Hotdeal, I probably would not be playing it for the normal book rate.
Nice course but I don’t think it’s worth the price.
Course is in great condition except for the construction going on but I can deal with that. It was difficult to find our way around the course seeing there weren’t any signs. And $17 to hit some range balls is a little steep for me.
