Suneagles
A lot of construction going on,with the rain course very wet
Enjoyable & challenging
First they are doing work on course. The workers were great not to be in way. Holes and greens present numerous challenges. Everyone from the starter to inside staff was great. Liked it so much went back & played again Sunday. Great day of golf
Too much construction
As I understand that the finished product will look very nice, at this time I don’t recommend it because it is too loud and too much distractions due to the ongoing construction.
Potential
Things are under repair in the off-season but you can see big things ahead for Sun Eagles. Drainage will be the biggest challenge but they are building new tee boxes and adding slope. One of the longer courses in the area. Always enjoy playing here.
Suneagles in February
Course was in good condition for February. Lots of ongoing maintenance being done to get it ready
SunEagles is a Solid Course with Potential
We played SunEagles for the first time on a Sunny Saturday in February. Being winter, the course was in pretty decent shape. There was a considerable amount of construction on a few holes on the front nine, 10+11 were closed, and the main clubhouse is also being renovated. Overall, I was happy with my round and will be back to play in better weather.
Under Construction
Just a heads up, back 9 is closed. I personally feel that if I didn’t get a hot deal it is not justified to pay $55 or $60 to play here how it currently stands. Back 9 is ripped up for construction… fine but it’s not advertised before booking. Secondly with the tri axles dumping dirt and the equipment running you won’t have a very relaxed round of golf.
But, this is just how it currently sits. I will go back and highly recommend the course for the future. If you’re willing to bare the current conditions the actual course (front 9) is in great shape especially for the winter time. Guy in the pro shop even let me out ahead of a couple large groups since I was by myself instead of leaving it up to them to let me play through. Definitely will be back once everything is completed
Course was in good shape considering all the work being done. Had only the front 9 open due to ongoing work, but you were able to go around again.
