About
The Valleyview nine is the most difficult course at the 27-hole Farmstead Golf & Country Club, which is located in northwest New Jersey approximately one hour from New York City. Small greens, tree-lined fairways, hilly terrain and out of bounds on seven of nine holes are among the reasons the Valleyview nine is a test. The Byron Phoebus design opened in 1979.

Great day
The course was in great shape. Played from the blue. Very challenging course. Greens rolled true but still could not make a put. I will be playing this course again for sure
Always a good experience
From the starter, Ken, to the cart girl and everything in between this place is consistently a good value. Good layout and good conditions.

One of the best courses Sussex has to offer at a good price.
Nice Course
This is a nice course to play. Conditions are always good, the course is not difficult. Pretty flat. A nice couse to play
Pace of play
Would be better if they moved up tee boxes on 2 or 3 par 3s. Hitting 180 yards every par 3 is not only boring, it will slow the pace every time
Always Good
Go to Bagel Station, which is on the way on Route 15. Grab a bagel, and head over to Farmstead. It’s a fun course to play, but make sure to play the Lake/Club rotation. It’s a very fair layout, and you will have a good time. Don’t forget the amazing hot dog at the turn.
Great conditions for late April, with fresh sand being put in some of the bunkers.

Always love coming to this course. Even tho it is about an hour drive for me I love playing this course. Love the layout, great pricing, friendly staff!
