Farmstead Golf & Country Club - Lakeview/Clubview Course
About
Water comes into play on six holes on the Lakeview nine at the 27-hole Farmstead Golf & Country Club, which is located in northwest New Jersey approximately an hour from New York City. None is more challenging than the closing hole, a very short -- but very intimidating -- par 3 over water. The Byron Phoebus design opened in 1965.

Golfer Reviews
Nice course
Definitely worth playing if you are within a half hour drive.
Great Course
Farmstead is one of my favorite courses to play. It's always in great shape from tee to green. Extremely well maintained. Highly recommend! .
plesant course
I have played here weekly for years, good value and nice people make a great day
Not bad
This course was decent for the golf now price. The course fairways were in very good shape. The sand bunkers need more sand, and they are very hard. Common for the ball to roll over the sand and out. The tee boxes were in okay shape. Some greens needed some work, and were patchy. My biggest issue was with the cups. The flags don't stick upright in many of them and the cup cuts are not crisp so my foursome were rimming in and out all day. I think the cups should be reset and cut more crisply.
Nice to play here
Good course for an intermediate level golfer. Nice layout and friendly staff.
farmstead
played sunday!!!!!!! payed 69 $ the greens were terrible no wait slow- horrific !!! they were so bad ! the hole its self looked like it was cut with a saw ! very very disappointed with the greens! JUST TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!
farmstead
course is really good! would give 5 stars but greens are inconsistent and always slow!!!!!!!!!!! use a heavy putter or put some lead tape on it -2 pieces before u play!!!!! great deal with golfnow! $$$$$
I very nice course
I like the country like feel to the course. Most of the time you can find your ball if you leave the fairway. Water comes into play on several holes. There are two holes on the back 9 of the club 9 where there is a finger of water that protrudes into the fairway that if you haven’t played the course before you wouldn’t know it’s there so be careful. I thought that most of the par 3’s were too long but I loved the wide fairways. In general the conditions were good the fairways were in good shape. The were quite slow and bumpy, they could use a good cut and should be rolled. Overall a fine day on a very nice course.
