Slow Play
Due to very hot weather, play was a little slow. The course is in very good condition, good time to schedule a future tee time.

To much
The course is decent however it is way to over priced. They pack way to many ppl in between tee times. For another 10-15 bucks you can go play another local course with much better conditions and pace of play.

Be Careful, you can not change the fee if you schedule a tee time online....
This is a great course and it is not a hard walk for 18 holes. My only issue is when you go to their site to book a tee time there are no options for senior rates. When you get to the course you will not be able to change anything from the online rate, even if you want to walk. I could have saved $20 if I had called the clubhouse to book instead of online.

Worth the money
Nearby courses charge twice as much and you can really tell that Lakewood is trying to improve the course. It was in good shape and you can see that improvements are being done, along with the ones that already have been done…that nobody would notice except regular players. It’s a great value.

Overview
We had some problems with drunks playing behind us. And they ruined a very pleasant round.
The ranger on the course came out and helped the situation. But only after we were threatened to a fight.
It's not the course's fault but the slow pace of play contributed to the tension. A foursome that was moving slowly several holes ahead of us was the main problem. The drunks behind us apparently didn't like how slow things were going.
In all, however, the course was in good shape and it has an interesting layout.
I've never had an experience quite like this and I hope never to have one again.

Almost got into a fight
Guys behind us kept hitting up on us even though we had nowhere to go. They were drunk and then tried to pick a fight. If you want drama instead of a score I highly recommend this course. ( we called the cops on the drunks)
