Played here 2 years ago and will be back. Pace of play not bad for Sun 1230 tee time. Course in good shape. 19th hole bar tenders could be more attentive but overall good vibe and good value to this tract.

Overall course was in solid shape.
Was a twosome stuck behind a 4some that wasn’t allowing us to play through. We waited on just about every shot. Didn’t see a ranger for the entire round. Called pro shop after 9 to get a ranger out there to ask them to let us play through, gave a bunch of excuses and they said “we will try to get one out there”, which I immediately knew they wouldn’t send one out.

Beautiful golf day
Weather conditions just about perfect so it was not surprising that the course was crowded and a bit slow. The course was in very good shape, especially the greens. Some of the tee boxes were in need of some attention. There are some very interesting holes at Lakewood. the 5th, a short par 4 with trees in the center of the fairway, the 3rd, with a three-tiered green, the 16th, is a u-shaped par 5, and others..

Fair test
Overall, a good golf experience. Very friendly staff. Course was in good shape, especially the greens, which is very important to me. True roll and the breaks were as they should, not like on some courses where there is little break compared to how they read. Snacks at the turn and the beverage cart stopped by frequently. Some water coolers on the course, too which was welcome.
It was a hot day! Pace of play was 4 hours with a little wait at some holes, but not bad. Lakewood is a good value for the money, cart included for our round.

Greens were a mess!!!!
The greens were horrible. Spike marks, ball marks, track marks, slow as can be….one even had a the entire center of the free worn down straight to the dirt - no grass.

Saturday Round
We were playing a foursome & had to wait for the twosome in front of us. They were not keeping pace with the group in front of them. The group behind us tried to play through and wasn't listening to what was going on in front of us and made it even worse. Course was in amazing shape best I've ever seen it. Overall still a great day on the golf course, had fun course was in great shape. The outdoor bar was fun, with live entertainment and food was good.
