Great place to play
Loved everything about this course except the front desk. I got there about 40 minutes before tee time and the place was not crowded at all for an 11:40 tee time. I said good morning and noted that I knew I was a little early. I was told 20 minutes before tee time to check in. I booked a prepaid round for me and my friend. The course added a single to us which is fine. Only thing is you can only check in and get a cart when everyone is there including the person you don’t know.
Went back in 10 minutes before tee time and the lady was still hesitant to print me a ticket to get a cart because the other player was still not there. We found the 3rd player in the parking lot 5 minutes before teeing off.
Checking in and getting a cart should not be this difficult.

Spring Conditions
Course and greens in good shape, should improve when everything starts to grow. Fun course.
I got my tee time by calling the course instead of Golf Now because I wanted to walk. I got a senior rate $39 which is fine, but included a cart surcharge. When I asked about the charge I was told the senior rate in the morning included the cart fee walk or ride. If I wanted to ride there would have been another charge for riding in a cart single? So you pay a cart fee whether one wants it or not then another fee if you can't ride with another golfer?

Needs renovations desperately
I remembered when this course was one of the most beautiful courses in Ocean County. Now, it is a mud hole that is slowly turning into a cash cow before it is bought out by “Lakewood” for houses. If the owners are smart, they would take a month or two and close the course down and work on the course to bring it back to its glory days. Only then would the price tag be reasonable.
