Nice hidden gem on a late afternoon
Challenging course but simple. Houses are quite close in some areas, but fairways are wide. Lots of water but I know that is there for the homeowners more than the golfers.
Only issue was a worker on a mower getting onto the fairway to cut as we were clearly teeing off and he made no effort to let us play through (and we were only a twosome). Easy way for an employee to get hit with a ball by someone with less patience that we had. I will play this course again. Challenging par threes compared to comparable courses nearby.
Golf play
I always prefer to play at this course, overall it is a great course for intermediate players. Some tees were closed for repairs but over all the course is in good shape. This course has only 3 par 5 and 5 par 3. This course is not suitable for walkers!
The restaurant is a great place after play for food and drinks, friendly staff and great food.
Also I get a great deal on this course!

First time playing this course with a terrific variety of holes and plenty of hazard, both water and sand. Some trees and woods but only for very errant shots. Mostly, water is the principal concern and present on a majority of holes, almost like a Florida course. (Fortunately, I dodged them all!)
Layout is solid with short par-3, including a silly one up a steep hill. As it turns out, all 5 par 3s are on holes numbered as multiples of 3, all except 18 which isn't a par-3. I don't know if that was planned or just worked out that way, but you play a par-3 every 3rd hole.
Greens were OK considering mid March, and I'll like to see conditionss in May and later to get a better judgment of the course quality. Bunkers were in good shape and could be quite challenging.
Had dinner with a buddy in the bar/grill which is very pleasant with good food and drink specials. In summer outdoor dining would be a bonus.
Great course regardless of the season
I played 9 holes at Knob Hill yesterday and was amazed at how well the course was kept. The previous day we had lots of rain but you wouldn't know it at Knob Hill. The fairways, Greens and Rough were in great condition. I would recommend Knob Hill to anyone
Knob Hill, Nice Course, Wish it had a Driving Range
Nice playable course. Lots of well designed holes, some average. Like playing here but wish it had a driving range as there is not a good way to warm up without going someplace else first. this is the one reason why dont play here more often
