Tough but fair
Difficult course, tight fairways, pace of play is usually excellent. This is the first time I ever got stuck behind a slow moving foursome that didn't let me play through. But not the courses fault.
Good place!
Good place to play a quick round definitely will be coming back in the near future!
Lack of Value
I haven't played this course in years and I can see they have done some work on it and the conditions have improved for the most part. Some tee boxes need improvement either dead grass or patchy. My only complaint really is the value you get at the course, this should be a $65 course, not $90. The high price does not make me want to come back if you have to pay $90, there are much better courses in better condition in the area than this one.
Nice Course …. Pace of play?
Only issue pace of play 3 groups bottled up on Par 3 8th.? Uncalled for.
Ranger was sitting next to the hole? Not sure if people know about waving groups up, it quickens the pace of play.
The hole is a shot over water, which is tough enough for the average golfer, people hit 2/3 balls to finally get over which slows down the pace if play.
Greens were quick but fair, fairways and tee boxes in good shape.
But probably the best thing was the food. Great looking hot dogs and burgers, great deals, very hospitable person cooking everything. Worth going back just for that.
Links is a nice course
I enjoy playing the links. Wish I could hit it longer on 11 so I don't waste a shot getting around the corner.
The Improved Links
I have been playing The Links for about 2 years, and the course is in the best condition I have ever seen it in. The tee boxes, fairways and greens are very good and well-maintained. I enjoy playing there.
Pace of play was beyond slow especially for a Monday afternoon 3 groups deep on tee box ranger passed by 3 times nothing cheated left after 9 holes which took 3 hours
Excellent Course Routing
We had an 11:40 tee time on a Sunday. Got off about 10 minutes late .Marshall was friendly and helpful explaining the course. The course was routed through a development and was well done. The staff was friendly and the on course refreshments were readily accessible.The course layout allowed for open fairways the conditions of which were uneven. We had to play winter rules. The rough was very uneven and came up right off the fairway and needed to be cut. They were also watering the fairways as we were playing which was somewhat annoying.
Good if Priced Right
The course is in good shape right now. I would say the greens are what will keep me coming back. They were all in great shape besides I one that was patched due to an equipment malfunction. I like the layout here because it’s a good mix of tight holes and strategic play. There is some work to be done in some fairways and rough but all in all I enjoyed the course. Now, I’m a Triple Play member so I don’t pay full price. I can’t see myself paying $93 for this course.
Wouldn’t recommend
Place is unkempt. And idk how their slope a 129. Very easy course. Not worth the money compared to other courses in the area.
