Round #1
Clubhouse didn’t have power internet out. Had to pay cash for round. Other than that course was very nice.
Tight but forgiving
It’s a pretty course. Well maintained with an interesting layout. Most holes are tree lined but the trees are thin so there’s still a chance to find your ball. There was a heavy rain the day before but the course dried out nicely. On this day the rough was quite thick but that may have been due to the rain mentioned previously. There is some water and a few bunkers but they are not overly penalizing. Just hit it straight and you’ll have a good round
In the pine woods
Pretty course that is cut through the pine trees. We saw lots of deer and turkeys. No houses along the course. The course is in very good shape and has has a nice mix of forgiving and challenging holes
League Play Delay 😡
Had no idea nor was I told that league play started at 5:30 on the Monday I played. Teed off with a buddy at 4:00pm and we finished the front 9 in 1.5 hours. The back 9 is were the problems started. We hit a wall. League play with walkers on the 10th tee box as we approached. Walkers in front of them. We literally had no one in front of us for the whole front and then we were at a stand still. Needless to say this was very disappointing. Poor management tee times for the course. We paired up with the twosome behind us to speed up the rate of play. Round could've been approx 3 or so hours but took 4.5 hours. If I would have known league play was that day and time I would've booked somewhere else to play.
Nice track
Second time playing
Would probably play it more but it’s too far. It’s half way to the shore so a good spot to play before heading down
Shorter but fun layout
The Links course was very fun to play - the course is designed so that many of the par 4’s are 200-220 to landing areas then wedges in. Conditions in early July were good, not great, but it had been very dry leading up to my round. Greens were also good for the time of year. I like the back to back par 5’a on each 9. Pace was decent for Sunday morning, I believe we finished in 4.5 hours. A little pricy at $95 for a Sunday morning - plays like a $65 course, but honestly worth a round. I’ll be back, just maybe on a Tuesday afternoon.
Tough but fair
Difficult course, tight fairways, pace of play is usually excellent. This is the first time I ever got stuck behind a slow moving foursome that didn't let me play through. But not the courses fault.
Good place!
Good place to play a quick round definitely will be coming back in the near future!
