Chigger bites
Terrible time grass was high three people had chigger bites lasted a couple weeks. No fairway area was not cut high rough

How the heck is it 4 stars?
3 of us played this course on a Friday, teed off about 11am with about 15 minutes gap from the group before us... we still waited on the fairway at 1 for them. It took 5 hours to play the course. I'm not sure if it was just the 1 group ahead of us that was holding us up, as it seemed at times the group in front of them was slow.
Conditions were pretty bad. Sand was hard and compacted, rough was all crabgrass, greens aerated but sanded to point it was more of a beach.
Odd layout.. both 9s have back to back par 5s. I'm not sure how the black tees totaled 6500 yards.
Definitely not worth the $70 normal price, and still probably not worth the $45 tee time deal. Maybe the pace of play ruined the review, but I don't think so.
Won't be playing there again ... oh and you have to drive through the course to get to the parking lot?!?

Great track for the money
I’ve been a member for many years and the course is in the best shape in a long time. It has returned to its former glory.
There are two things I’d love to fix if I could, the first is the depth of the rough. Holy cow, if you’ve rolled into the rough, good luck not losing a stoke or two getting out. The second thing I’d like to see is rebuilding the clubhouse. As local residents, my wife and our friends miss playing a round and stopping in for lunch or dinner. It’s a great resource to have a restaurant in Kings Grant open to the public.

Scammed
Didn’t bother letting me know they aerated and the course was unplayable. They gladly took my money though. Play anywhere else in the state of NJ and you will get a better bang for your buck. The bunkers are extremely under maintained, maybe we rake them every couple days?? Idk, worth a shot. Fairways…meh, greens are just terrible. It turns into more and more of a dog track everytime I’ve gone there. Sad to see a nice layout go to waste just because people are lazy!

Poor course conditions
The tee boxes and greens were terrible. The fairways were just passable. Not worth the money.

Course Robbery
Playing out of dirt in the fairway. Playing out of dirt on greens. Never had someone tell me I couldn’t play two more holes on the back for a twilight time. Won’t be coming back, better value at Indian Springs.

Great for the money
Played front 9. As always, staff is super friendly and course is in great condition. Lots of bunkers on every hole if you need practice hitting out of the sand like me

Highway robbery
Course is worth about $30 not the $80 they charge, idk what they’re doing but everything is just so beat up and gone to wasted, i would not recommend this course to anyone, the owner and superintendent should be embarrassed for charging what they charge, it is highway robbery, hopefully they make a change soon but highly doubt it!
