Needs work
Some nice tree-lined holes. Generally in poor condition. Seems like they don’t have enough staff working to make this decent. No tee boxes even had markers for where the white tees should be. Really pretty sub-standard all around.
this course was in good shape
first time playing this course for over 1 year..going thru refurbishing the clubhouse had porta potties...no tee markers on tee areas had to use gps and score card to get distance for appropriate player (regular, senior, woman)..greens and fairways in great shape..very friendly staff...will play this course again...
Big let down
I had looked at this course on Google earth and was really looking forward to playing it... the course layout is great. Very tight and twisty. The kind of course that forces you to play smart and take chances at bending you shots. Unfortunately the condition of the course is horrible. Like playing in my backyard. Lots of sandtraps but a single rake on the entire course, so every trap was like cement. No tee box markers, tiny greens. Not even a monument at the tee area with a description on the hole or yardages even on par 3s.
And to top it off the pace of play was abysmal. 5hrs to play a round. After talking with others who frequent the course. The say that this is the normal pace of play here, as they have no rangers. And I was told that the course is in much better condition then it has been in the past. I will not be returning to find out.
Good Course & Layout
The course was in good shape... for this time of the year. The pace of play was slow as I played as a twosome and got stuck behind a foursome who would not let us play through even though they searched for balls in the woods. Some golfer do not adhere to the good golf wisdom to let faster players ......play through.
However, Rangers can prevent this by just surveying the golf course every once in a while. Thanks.
Unique layout
First time playing the course. I had heard there were a lot of tight fairways, and that was definitely the case. But not so tight that you couldn’t hit the driver on the longer holes. You just have to be a bit more conservative than on some of the more wide open courses in the area. For playing in late November, the course was in fantastic shape, especially the greens. And being that most of the trees lining the course are pine trees, fallen leaves were not an issue at all. The clubhouse was currently under renovation so the pro shop is currentlya trailer, but the staff could not have been more friendly. I look forward to playing again in the spring!
Great course no clubhouse
Clubhouse was closed at the beginning of the year and never reopened. No offering of snack/cart. Food is sub par. Only keep going back because I live across the street and it’s convenient.
Golfing here is very enjoyable
I love playing here. Course is in great shape especially for later in the fall.
For mid-November the course was in excellent shape. Fairways, rough and greens were clean of leave.
Nice
The course was in great shape and great conditions rebuilding the club house
course
round was delayed frost. course was in decent shape.
Person in pro shop somewhat disorganized as he was suppose to be starter but never saw him at 1st whole. Overall cant complain but it would be nice if they had a place to get a beer when your done
Course was in great shape, greens were very nice rolled true.Layout is good a few blind shots but overall very fair.
Maybe third time around will be better
Well...
Marlton, NJ is home to three golf courses (Two Public and One Private). This is the only course that offers any times on Golf Now (as well as cheaper).
I just got done work this morning and I figured why not just go play a quick nine hole round. Now, yes the course is challenging and does test your abilities. But, that's not the problem. The main problems are three things
1. Someone needs to start building the new clubhouse.
2. The cart paths are not the greatest. Some are paved and next minute you know, you're on a gravel path. I've played a course in the poconos that even though you went down and up the side of a mountain, they were the smoothest I've ever driven on.
I'll be giving them another chance since I've never played the back nine. It's definitely worth it if you're in town and looking to save some money.
