Solid Course
Not sure why Princeton Country Club (PCC) is receiving such poor reviews. Just played there for the first time and it was very manageable. People are saying tight/narrow fairways but there is A LOT of room to make the fairway - maybe just work on your shot? Pace of play was fine, it’s golf. Yes there is work being done to some holes but easily playable. Loved the openness of the course and scenery. Honestly not the most difficult if your looking for a challenge but a solid option none the less. Thanks PCC!

Never play this course again
Very poor green. Putting like on a carpet. Very slow play. Ouch...

Always on the verge
After a year, Princeton hasn't changed. Tight, very small greens, slanted back to front, traps on both sides at the bottoms. Plenty of trees to narrow the fairways. I had three short chips severely downhill just off the fringe that even good shots could not stop tap-in close. The greens were aerated and 6-10 footers were too tough

Great Day
Course was in decent shape. Reseeding 17th, so the tee box is way up....Rangers kept the pace......Overall excellent day. Staff very nice....The Jambalaya girl on the beer cart is very nice!!

Pace of play awful
The only reason I didn't give this course a five star rating was the pace of play. It was easily the worst I've ever seen from a group ahead. It was a foursome of seniors who were taking their leisurely time and refusing to allow groups to play through. There was no ranger at all out on the course, which seems to be a recurring theme here, and it got so bad that they had a line of three groups behind them waiting to tee off. We seriously considered calling the clubhouse and asking for a ranger to come out. Eventually we skipped 16 just to get ahead of them. The course really needs to improve the presence of rangers and monitor pace of play better.

Great course
This course is my second favorite course to play right now behind Mountain View. The layout is challenging but has a few easy holes mixed in. Most of the course is in great condition, but the only "complaint" I would say is the 17th hole tees have been moved way up turning it into a par 4 because the front half of the fairway is all messed up. The club grill isn't ever staffed really so make sure you bring your own lunch but there is someone who brings around drinks and such.

Classic muni layout
Princeton is still a nice course but its bunkers need work. There's some drainage problems and the greens need to be mowed.
The on-site range is pretty good.

Disappointed
PCC should really improve on their course conditions. Filled with mosquitos, fairway in poor condition, and with a little bit of rain fairways can get flooded. Honestly, all the other public courses in Mercer country are better and if you can stay away from this course. Staff are friendly but the course itself is a No for me. Mountain View
, Mercer county East/west will provide a better experience.

Good when not wet
Princeton has several tight fairways, some difficult holes and some easy ones. It is a pleasure to play the course when it has not rained for a while, because the drainage is terrible on several holes and when it’s wet especially the last four or five holes are cartpath only and not a lot of fun to go out into the fairway. All in all, Princeton is a good, challenging course!

Front 9 great, back 9 needs work.
We felt the front nine was in good shape, but the back nine needs attention. Especially 15, 16, and 17.
