Pretty Nice
On the more challenging side length wise. Only issue is the course doesn't drain that well which causes "cart path only" issues.
Fun course
Really like the layout of this golf course. It gives you everything that will challenge you. Course is in good condition, just bummed that on this day it was cart path only.
Old School
Hopewell is a county run old private country club with golf, swimming, & tennis courts. The scenery in the area and on this course is admirable. Enough variety of open and treelined holes. Genuinely , an enjoyable round of golf.
Hopewell Valley 7/28
Had an early tee time and ended up playing alone, which is ok for me.
Staff was friendly and helpful. The groundskeepers were busy shaping up the course. The crew were accommodating while completing their routines.
The course is challenging and fun. I enjoy the unique layout.
Bunkers and greens were in great shape
Descent course for the money
It's a descent course for the money. It seems to me that they don't really maintain the course but I'll be coming here if the deal is good.
They cancelled on me because of a tiny bit of rain that stopped
Needs a lot of work on tee boxes
Some of tee boxes don't have grasses. They need to repair some of tee boxes constantly
How about fixing the tee boxes
The course was in pretty darn good shape except for the tee boxes. They really need to be fixed, with a lot of spots and no grass at all. The greens were all well-maintained but much slower than those at the other Mercer County courses. We had a windy day, which made getting the yardage correct a challenge.
Terrific Traditional Course
Terrific layout at a former private course & the county has done a very good job of improving & maintaining conditions.
Pretty Decent Course...
Overall the course is in pretty decent shape. The teeboxes could use a little work, but they were in good condition over all. The fairways are in great shape, the greens are in great shape and rolled nicely, the rough was in decent shape, but you have your hacker divets and bare spots in various places. This is a good course to practive your game. Mountain View is in the best condition out of all the Mecer courses right now. Here is the order I would put all the Mercer Courses in right now... #1 Mountain View. #2 Mercer Oaks West. #3 Hopewell Valley. #4 Mercer Oaks East.
Greens need to be rolled
Nice layout but the greens obviously need to be rolled. Very bumpy. HV could be the jewel of the Mercer Co. courses if they just put a little more effort into the greens. Fairways were beautiful; tee boxes need work.
