Hidden Gem
Great course off the beaten path. Course is in great condition. The heavy volume of recent rain meant we had to walk the course but it was a good walk even for seniors. I played here a few years ago and the course is in much better condition than it was then. Fairways are well maintained and the rough is not too deep. The greens are in great condition. Hopefully I can play here again the next time I’m in New Jersey visiting family.

Back Nine is better
Played on Father’s Day 2023. Pace of Play was excellent and the restaurant/bar on the premises, the halfway shack and the club house areas and bathrooms were very good for a muni. The practice facility was straight forward and I liked how easy it was to get range balls. I thought the back nine layout was a lot more interesting than the front nine. The golf course forbids itself could use a little more love and investment.

Incredible Value for the Money
I have played at here twice in the last 2 weeks. Both times I have been shocked that for $28 I can play 18 holes with a cart. It’s a nice course to, don’t take the cost as a reason to assume it isn’t well maintained. This is my new “go to.”

Need a change
Come back here after 3 years. The coure overall is in a good care, good shape. But there are two things that may keep players from not coming back:
1. Meanwhile they take very good care of the fairway, they seem to abandone the greens. No cutting, no caring (i think) there are at least two kind of grasses growing in there. Greens are the spirit of each game. So you know how it feel when you putt.
2. The guy in proshop. I feel he was overwork. His attitude to players is not ok (rude and stressful). If he is the boss of the course, i can understand.

East Orange Golf Course was a very nice public course
The course was enjoyable. Holes weren't too long, for the most part. We were paired with another twosome - made for a very nice afternoon. No complaints. Restaurant on the property is fantastic....a gem. Definitely a surprise.
