Slow pace
There were 5 groups on the par 5 9th hole. One on the green. One in the fairway waiting on their approach shots. Another in the fairway waiting to hit their 2nd shot. Us on the tee waiting and the group that came off the 8th waiting behind us. I have never seen anything like that in over 40 yrs of playing golf. I found no explanation for it. It was a Monday afternoon. I do love this course to practice on though, but sometimes the pace is just terrible and there is never a ranger keeping things flowing.

Poor all around
Staff are not friendly Greens are non existent. Just shorter fairway grass with a pin. Bunker sand is poor. Rough way too high. Snack shake guy very rude. Avoid. You can find better

Over priced for poor course
The course is not maintained at all. the greens are all beaten up and many marks.

Issue(s)
Have played here more than a few times . . . It had rained here VERY heavily (4 - 6 inches) over the past few days last weekend . . . The course was a bit mushy in areas. However the issue was at check in. Upon arriving at the clubhouse, the check in person stated there was only walking carts available today NO riding carts at ALL( not even cart path only) I happened to pre-pay the entire package with the cart for 2 people. When I said that to the guy at the counter he said you need to take that up with Golf NOW, I understand they want the money but don't seem to be to flexible to give anyback when they are the ones to change the rule(s) and it is their issue. VERY BAD PR work on their end in my opinion. Please reach out to me to rectify this issue.

east orange
not for low handicappers. fairly short course but in great spring conditions. greens where aerated and are coming in good. a bit bumpy and slow day we played.

Great value course currently in fair condition (April 20th 2023)
Course is currently in fair condition, fairways great condition, booked a twilight round for 4 pace of play was good, course was generally busy, greens were slightly lumpy due to recent aeration which is understandable this time of year. Overall currently enjoyable and worth the value of twilight play.

Not one good thing to say
Not only was the pace of play horrendously slow (over 2:45 to finish 9) the course is wildly over priced for the experience. The greens are essentially the same as the fairway with slightly shorter grass featuring plenty of bare spots filled in with sand. The bunkers do not have nearly enough sand. With no starter the course was a free for all. It was over 90 degrees on the course the day I played and although there were coolers placed sporadically throughout the course, none of them were filled up.
Overall it is an absolute joke that this course is over 60 dollars. I would not recommend this track for any level of golfer as you can find something significantly more enjoyable almost any where you look.

Better than last week . . .
As the weather was terrific around here it was a very good opportunity to make some headway . . . And they did . . . The greens were MUCH better than last week . . . They need to instruct the guys working on the course to be aware of players they may be approaching . . We had to wait several times for equipment to stop and move out of the way, not stop in the middle of the fairway (blower) or green(s) (mower) . . . This is NOT an acceptable practice.

This is no longer a golf course. No greens, no starter, no rangers. It's a crime they actually take peoples money.

EARLY season shape
The course could have been in a bit better shape. They were certainly working on it however. We had to play the front 9 twice. The starter was missing. It could be managed a bit better. Lie to see this course in 4 - 6 weeks. This course is much better a bit into the season.
