Best 9 Hole in Monmouth Co.
Not sure you'll find a more exciting 9 hole than this. Awesome layout and rarely crowded.
my round
we enjoyed our round extremely well. I love the course and your "hot deal" is a real good value! I hope you continue this in the future, and maybe add additional days! Great course Great value
First time.
First time on course. Pace of play a little slow. Some rough areas need work. Fast greens, solid fairways and tee boxes in good shape. Played white tees, but no white tees reflected on cards. Also score card does not include slope/rating so difficult to update handicap system. Would recommend given friendly staff, generally good course conditions and value for price!
Overbooked
Gave out Hot Deals with a Women's League in progress, PLUS too many other guys. Not good.
Good practice course
Inexpensive n can get out. Good value to gets swings in.
An easy course to help fine tune your game
Easy executive course, good way to work on your game, not very challenging but played very quickly, excellent value!
A nine hole gem
This lovely and challenging nine hole course was a bargain! We've played this course for many years and always have a great time. The greens are in very good condition.
Beginners golf course
Town course for beginner golfers and a hackers delight! Kids playing on the course in sandles half in the bag and driving carts in wrong fairways. If you want to teach your 8 year old how to play golf, this is the course. The people were friendly, but the course conditions were very poor. The greens were small, but reasonably maintained. For 10 bucks to play 9, who can complain, right??
Great Value for the price
For the price from golfnow, this a great value for this course. The course is well kept and very nice.
Warm Up Round
This course was as advertise. Fairways were kept. Greens were slow but they were working on them. Great value for the price and the pace couldn't have been better!!
Good course for those new to the game
The course has been much improved over the last few years since the township has taken ownership. I know its early in the season but the fairways and tees need help. The fourth hole was redone and is a bit of a mess. Hopefully they get it in shape before to long. The course is very short withe water on only one hole and plays fairly easily. So if you want a quick round and a place to practice your short irons at the start of the season Colonial is the course for you. The price is right with Golf Now.
Colonial terrace golf
This golf course it's really in bad shape and not only that the people don't respect the rules at all especially when they play to slow hitting the golf ball every where. I asked to move forward and they said no. Not only that but not ranger at all. For me I never return to play this course even for free.
Value, Comfort, Forgiveness
This course is an unmatched value in Monmouth County, $19 for residents, $23 for non's. The course itself is extremely forgiving, with many long straight-away fairways. This course gives you a great opportunity to work on your off-the-tee game. Whether it be driving or with an iron. The hazards are not difficult to work around. In fact, I believe there are only two water hazards, so there is little opportunity to loose your ball. I've played this course 6 times now and I've been able to narrow it down to a 4iron, 7iron, PW, and Putter. Lastly, the staff gives very much a "ma-n-pa" small business type feel. They are very friendly and not pushy at all when it comes to equipment for sale or taking lessons etc. They allow you to just do you, relax, and go at your own pace. This is the ideal spot for beginners, a true hidden gem. Also, they already aerated their greens the first week of April, so their already green fair ways, and well trimmed rough, will be joined by smooth, fast greens.
Great for a quick 9 or 18
The course is not terribly tough but it has its challenges. Hole #4 is under repair. its the only Par 5. But when its finished it should be better than before. I like it when I play with semi-beginners. But for the hard core golfer, you may like a more challenging course. Its great for me.
