Always love the value of playing at Preakness but the West course right now is about as good as it’ll get. Just fantastic. Fairways are brilliant and the greens post aeration are really coming in nice. Big hand clap to the staff for all the hard work!

Bugs!

The gnats are very annoying. I read some reviews prior so made sure to spray ample repellent, which didn't matter. The repellent keeps them from getting in your mouth, nose, ears...etc...but the little buggers still fly within millimeters of your face They are everywhere on this course! The course is short, but wider than it looks on paper...one hole was under repair. Tee boxes were in decent shape as well as the greens. Service was good. I would play here again if it were not for the bugs.

East Course

Started on time. Pace of play was just over 4 hours. The course from the back (blue tees is less than 6,00 yards. The real problem is that there are NO YARDAGE MARKERS WHATSOEVER anywhere on the course. Some of us don't have GPS. If I have to guess what club to use, a confident swing is very difficult to produce. Without yardage marrkers, you can't play. How hard is it to have blue, white, and red markers. I'll never play this course again

Bugs Everywhere

Don’t get me wrong, this course is overall very nice and well maintained. I had no issues with the staff or pace of play. However, the amount of bugs flying around the course was extreme and unbearable. They were everywhere. Flying into your eyes and mouth, crawling on your legs and arms - you name it. It made playing really unenjoyable; constantly having to pick bugs off myself, fan my hat in front of my face to avoid bugs landing on my face, and having them bother me during my swing. It ruined the round and I would not play there again considering how bad the bug situation is. Whitout the bugs, I would recommend.
