Meadowgreens Golf Course

Booked online but they didn’t accept my booking at the online price because they said those are last year’s prices so had to pay more.

Meadowgreens is your average local 9 hole course. I have played here dozens of times over the last 10 years and I can say the course is decent, but not exceptional. It is convenient for people who live in the area and want a quick round, but it is not worth traveling long distances for. The pros of this course include:

1. Low price compared to other local golf courses ($30 for 18 with a cart as of writing).

2. Good for beginners due to low stress environment.

3. Fairly easy course layout with some interesting holes (Holes 2 and 8 are my personal favorites.)

4. It is next to a small airport so expect to see some planes landing and taking off. Very cool if you have young ones in your party.

Cons of this course include:

1. Maintenance is spotty depending on when you play during the week. Sometimes the course is fine, but other times the grass in the fairways is quite long with some lawn thatch. Expect to lose some balls that you otherwise would not lose if you played another course.

2. The course stays soggy several days after a rain.

3. Some of the greens are not well-maintained.

4. The course has very limited amenities.

All in all, if you are a beginner and you are not concerned with the cons I mentioned above, Meadowgreens is a cheap option that will allow you to practice before heading to more challenging courses. If you are trying to introduce some friends and family members to golf, this is a good choice, especially for the more anxious players who worry about their level of play.

Not what the pictures have you expecting would not recommend. Ball will get plugged or lost on perfect shots.
