Beekman Country Club - Taconic/Highland
Tucked away in the foothills of the Berkshires, Beekman Country Club sits right where the mountains rise from the Hudson Valley, which provides spectacular views throughout the 27-hole golf course. Divided into three nines, the holes offer three different 18-hole courses with unique but equally scenic vistas. The Taconic/Highland combination starts with the most challenging nine of the three and ends with the most picturesque. The Taconic nine features narrow fairways and tricky water hazards. The back nine hardly gets any easier. The Highland climbs up over 500 feet, giving golfers a panoramic view from the valley to Stormville Mountain. The par-3 fourth hole on the Highland nine is the club's signature. Noted for its beauty, the hole is especially stunning in the springtime when the dogwood trees that line its fairways are in full bloom.

It’s a long course and challenging.
It’s a long course and challenging. Played after the tropical storm so carts could only be driven on the paths (for good reason). The rough is long and deep adding more distance. The tee boxes for both the men’s and woman’s tees could use some work and some of the cart paths could use some work.
First time playing there in several years… much improved current ownership. Seems they are up on maintenance, customer service and availability.
My round at Beekman
We enjoyed playing. Course was soaked with puddles all over the place. Drainage obviously poor although a wet day. Cart paths only.
Very nice public course
I had the opportunity to play this course twice in one week. My first round was around 530 pm and was not told about leagues being on the courses until I got there. I played 9 holes as a single in 2;45. I was locked in between a large group of 4somes and had no where to go. The leagues there area true "beer drinking" leagues. Sounded like a frat party on the course LOL
My second round I learned and got out before the leagues got there. Paired up with three locals who were an absolute blast to play with ;and gave me home course knowledge during play.
The Valley and Taconic are a bit tighter in their fairways . Greens, fairways and tee boxes were in fabulous shape. The food upstairs is much better than what you typically get at a public course. I highly recommend any of the meals that are smoked. The smoked brisket sandwich was awesome!!
The only complaints would be that the cart paths need ALOT of work and upgrading. The staff at the outside clubhouse could be a bit friendlier. They treat you like they work for the government LOL
Enjoy this course!!
GREAT DAY ...
course in great condition considering amount of rain past few days ... perfect day for golf ...
