About
Located almost in the center of Long Island, the aptly named Middle Island Country Club is one of the area's most popular public golf courses. The 27-hole layout is divided into three nines that are played in 18-hole combinations. The Spruce/Dogwood begins with a front nine that underwent a major renovation in 2008. An island green was added to the par-4 seventh and another major addition was new tee boxes to accommodate women, seniors, and championship play. Middle Island Country Club's Spruce nine boasts generous fairways and large greens where there is plenty of room to grip it and rip it. Take advantage of the scoring opportunities on this nine because the Dogwood nine gets much more challenging. The back nine is a formidable test with narrows fairways and greens with surprising breaks that will have you wondering how you "just missed" it.

Nice course
Very few people on the course on this windy and chilly day. Greens were in good shape...overall a fun round and good conditions. I’ll be back.
middle island country club - good course, good value
played last week - course was in great shape, good value for the $. staff friendly
Nice Facilty
Fairways, bunkers and greens in very nice shape for early in the season. Staff friendly and coordination very good with starter at the turns.
Good round but...
They had an outing where every hole garbage cans stuffed with beer cans. Some greens had 5-6 guys on them goofing off. Balls normally fly from other holes on to your fairway, but I saw my first today where somehow 3 folks from 3 different holes hit on to ours.
What normally is a 3-3.5hr round here turned into 5.5hrs. However, we made the best of it. Just wished they would have alerted us about the outing and maybe pushed us onto different courses away from them (Middle Island consists of 3 separate 9 hole courses).
Tough tight course
We had a great round of golf, love to play again when everything is grown in .
Over 5 hours too slow
Way too slow no ranger moving groin front of us with a hole and a half open

Hour delay, late in day
I booked 4 for 2:40 with just enough time to finish before sunset. With an hour delay we played 9 holes. They charged me $49 per player with only a $23 raincheck. This was not good customer service.
