White Nine at Hyde Park Golf Course

Regardless of other reviews talking about the staff, they surprised me when they were really cool when we got there and didn’t make any sort of fuss that previous comments had mentioned. The issue is that the golf course is horrendous I mean I only paid 21 dollars to play and I don’t even think it was worth that. The courses grass is overgrown and had an awful layout on top of the fact that it seemed like half of each hole was completely dead grass and even coned off because it’s unplayable. The greens are awkwardly small and littered with leaves and sticks. I saw a few comments saying it was a value golf course but honestly it’s just really bad and wouldn’t waste money here. The only upside was the attitudes of the staff who were pretty cool the day we had went, don’t know if it’s an everyday thing though.

Grass was pretty tall next to the fairways but it was fun playing here. Good food and drinks at Kelley's on the Greens.

Every hole has good Personality making every hole fun and not boring. The greens roll very well and true to the putt.

There are no numbers for tees on the white nine. Overall condition poor.

This being my first time at this course, I see it checked many boxes. It was easy to navigate with clear signage. It was well maintained. It offered challenge without being impossible. It had a nice variety to play. Go there and enjoy

Sand traps and fairways in rough shape but fun to play

Everyone likes to say they are the owner on the course and they sure do take their time. They don’t want anyone playing ahead of them, but 5 1/2 hour rounds are a little excessive for a railry easy layout. When you question the quality of the greens or fairways then they are no longer the owner and its someone else's fault.

Course just continues its downward spiral. Basic management could make it playable, but current ownership seems to be more concerned about their own mini tournaments. Should be attempting to grow a junior program, and welcoming first time golfers, but everyone has a different business model.
