About
The Golf Club at Middle Bay is located on Long Island's south shore overlooking the barrier islands of Jones Beach, Point Lookout, and Lido Beach. Nearly every hole looks out across water. Though the golf course is just an hour outside of New York City, you'll feel as though you've been whisked off to an out-of-town resort. The layout has a challenging design that will test your accuracy with tree-lined fairways and strategically placed bunkers. Wind will also be a factor on this golf course. The Golf Club at Middle Bay is a tough but fair layout that players of all skill levels will enjoy. In addition to the golf course, there is also a driving range available.

Forward Tee Boxes need to be level!
Overall the course is in good condition and the pace of play is great. However, the forward tee boxes are sloped on many holes. Any chance you can address this? I have mentioned this to the starters and pro shop over the years and nothing has changed.

Getting dangerous
Greens were great. Fairways were suffering in spots due to all the heavy rain. The 13th hole is by the driving range. There had to be 50 range balls in the 13th fairway. Only time till someone gets kinked. Do not play a yellow ball at 13!

Nicest public golf course on the south shore of Nassau County
Course in nice shape. The pace of play was a little slow. Overall had a great day

Great course
Great course:
Price $77 : other courses are a bit more well rounded for $75 price range.
Bunkers were cement, club bounces off the sand 0/5
Fairways were perfect 5/5
Rough was full and difficult 5/5
No patches or clumps of dirt 5/5
Around the green was full 5/5
Tee boxes like any public course weren't flat, little hilly 3/5 could of been worse
Course layout 4/5, some tee boxes seemed right on top of greens. Wish there was a bit more space.
Staff, food or cart girl 5/5
Biggest complaint: lots of bird feathers that are all white. Can't find your ball on some holes that are in the middle of the fairway. Would like to see those holes that neighbor the bay to be cleaned more often.
Overall great course. Little bit pricey. I rather snag a hot deals than pay full price. Will play again

Left my pitching wedge on 18th green
Enjoy playing here, the starter Lou is a friendly and genuine guy. Usually a good pace of play.
Unfortunately this past time I left my pitching wedge on the 18th green, didn’t realize until the next day. Called and no one turned it in. Called a week later and still no one turned it in. F’n people suck.

Good course
Challenging course given tight conditions. Course in good shape. Friendly staff. No outside coolers so must by on site.

Not a fan
I’ll start out by saying I was probably a little too tough on the amenities because they are constructing a brand new club house which looks like it’s going to be great.
Unfortunately the layout of the course is really poorly designed. Lots of tees that are really pretty close within range of a bad shot. My group almost got hit 3 different times within 10 feet. Not to mention their driving range is wedged between 2 holes and one fairway was littered with practice balls. Some of their ponds need to be cleaned out because they’re just loaded with poop and it makes the front few holes smell like a sewage plant. Staff wasn’t friendly until we made some jokes to cheer them up. They were however on top of everything, they might not have been the nicest, but they did their jobs well, kept pace of play going and didn’t give us any trouble. Definitely not a course for beginners and overall a good price for what it is but I probably won’t try this one out again unless the better choices are gone.

Traps Need Sand not Dirt
The traps are very difficult due to challenging lips and deepness but hitting out of dirt and not sand makes them impossible for an amateur like me and detracted from an otherwise well played round. They were not fair withouit sand.
