The Golf Club at Middle Bay

Middle Bay was in excellent shape. The clubhouse is being rebuilt - was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. A number of holes are on the water, so expect British Open wind. Lots of water, high grass, and bunkers. Great course but bring your A game and don’t expect your best score because of the wind.

Not my first time

It was a crowded day. A wait on every hole. 5+ hour round. . We were pushed back 20 minutes from initial start time.

Love the course so close to my house. It's a little pricey but if play is within 4 hours I'm ok with it.

Another great day at Middle Bay. Perfect conditions...greens are second to none.

The app worked seamlesssly, and the course was operating on time and efficiently. Was enjoyable and look forward to booking more tee times in the future.

Place was in great shape. Greens in phenomenal shape. Had a hot deal and played in 3 hours and 15 minutes. Range was closed for maintenance and the new clubhouse is looking like a 2020 opening. The snack bar is open but there are better options in Oceanside. What was the only really annoying thing was on several holes a huge amount of range balls were on several different fairways. Get a screen around the range!

I hadn't played the course in a couple of years, but found it as terrific as always. The pace of play is poor and the rangers don't do their jobs. My foursome had to wait on the group in front of us until we got to 16 when a ranger appeared to tell us that he had told the group in front and the group in front of them (which was holding up the parade) to speed up their pace of play. Too little, too late and what should have been a 4:00 or 4:15 round (on their scorecard) turned into a five hour marathon. The course has been going through a slow-motion rebuild of facilities since Superstorm Sandy. A new car barn is still under construction and the old clubhouse has been demolished, but ground has not yet been broken for a replacement.. Meanwhile, the bathrooms in the temporary clubhouse were out of order, leaving only the single mens and womens rooms at the restaurant and after the 16th hole. The course should install a temporary bathroom trailer.by the temporary pro shop or the restaurant. Having said all this, the track is in splendid shape and a lot of fun to play.

Greens and fairways were in great shape. Staff were all very nice.

Course is in great shape and is challenging. Definitely have to stay in the fairway, thick rough and lots of trees. Highly recommend.

3:40 tee time and it takes 5 hrs 15 min to play 18 holes. Starter talked like a tough guy about speeding groups up. Painstakingly slow. Wouldn’t return for free.

the most memorable element of this course is definitely the wind, making it a little difficult to decide on clubs. The fairways and greens were all in good condition. A few slow folks making us wait on more than half of the holes.

Beautiful course

But 5.5 hours plus is not good....

Except for the pace of play on the front nine.. I enjoyed playing this course with the scenic views of the water, very relaxing .. the course layout and design blends well with the surrounding. Love the open space, not a lot of trees but errant shots can end up in the water and sandy beach. I thought the mounds guarding the 17th hole was exciting. The service is country club or resort type, friendly, helpful and professional. Complete practice facility .. driving range, chipping area and putting green. There is a snack bar and cart lady but no clubhouse for drinks or full meal. Less than an hour drive from manhattan, Can’t bear that for a scenic resort style public course!

Have played there a ton of times but the greens this time we’re fantastic for a public course.
