Saxon Woods Golf Course

Used to be well cared for. Currently the greens are not rolled regularly. Might as well chip instead of putt to reach a hole. Sand traps either have too much sand or none at all. Greens keeper must have taken the summer off.

We had a great outing but be prepared for a slower pace. The course is typically very crowded and we consistently waited in group ahead of us, typically at the next tees.

Changeling enough but good for beginning golfers who want to learn!!

The first time I went, I chalked it up to a bad day. Second time, thought it was just a coincidence. Third time, I’decided the county just likes to put the most miserable people they can find together at Saxon Woods. It became somewhat of a joke during the day to see if someone would smile. One ranger seemed nice. The starter was a miserable human being. Bar staff couldn’t have been more unfriendly if they tried. Made me and my friends appreciate how great the people at the other county courses are. See ya never again Saxon Woods.

Saxon Woods is a nice public course and it is well maintained, but they try to fit too many people on at once and it makes the playing experience miserable. It took me almost 3 hours to play 9 holes. Takes the fun out of the game when you spend more time sitting around than actually playing golf. I’ve played here a bunch and it’s always the same. I like the course and it’s convenient, but I can’t stand playing so slow anymore. Will look elsewhere going forward.

I’m not sure why but this course is an automatic 5-6 hour round to play 18. Played here multiple times and left early every time because of brutal pace of play. People were walking off the course after 8 holes and my group wanted to quit after 2 holes. We debated leaving to get refunds after waiting for 45 minutes after 2 holes. Something needs to change. My whole foursome agreed they’re never gonna play here again.

5hour 50 min is toooooo long! Waited at every hole..

Ranger was driving around, but it did nothing..

my group, the ones in front and behind were nice but we were all pretty upset.

Some people need to skip holes.. or sit out.

Conditions were good and 91 degrees..

Just try to do better rangers..

Good beginner course. It was easy to navigate and play despite some adverse weather conditions.
