Saxon Woods Golf Course

There’s a man who works in the course named Mike who is on the season side. His nickname is skinny, Mike. He is completely unprofessional, disrespectful and rude. This was my second time golfing, first time on the course. I asked the people in front of me if I could pass them. The group of people were fine with it. There were a bunch of kids playing so to relieve some of the congestion. I continued to pass the next hole as well. And this gentleman by the name of skinny Mike came over yelling and scream screaming. I explained and owned up to what I did, immediately apologized and explain the situation. I was merely trying to relieve the congestion. He continue to raise his voice and yell to the point where I couldn’t take it anymore, and I put him in his place verbally.

Start around 1PM but can’t get finished before dark and raining.

There are too slow groups. Nobody care on that. The greens are slow and not even.

Slow greens bad pace of play lots of kids ranger more concerned with cart path only then to keep the course moving. Westchester is like boring and has bitc chat rangers and stuff.

Staff was rude, especially considering tee time was delayed by 20min, which cut our round short. Golf carts are slow and jumpy. When hitting through the range, the cart that pics up balls ate up our shots. The starter was incredibly rude and obnoxious - literally all I said was good afternoon and he was acting like I insulted him.

I love playing this course every time. Beautiful course never lets me down. The round is usually faster than it was today. It took us about 5 hours to get through 18. Other than that it was great like always.

The Ranger needs to drive around every once in awhile

Played on 7/12/26 and honestly it was a mess. Tee times were packed way too tight, so every hole we were just standing around waiting on the group ahead. Talked to the pro shop about it and nothing happened, no ranger ever came out to move things along. We ended up skipping a hole just to try to keep pace and it still took over 5 hours. On top of that, the pro shop staff and the starter were both just flat out rude when we brought it up. Not coming back to this course again.

Fun course, a lot of getable holes. Great layout and Great greens.

Extremely disappointing experience. The pace of play was awful, and this was on a Monday, not even a weekend. It took 3 hours just to play the front 9, and the only reason the round finished in 5.5 hours instead of potentially taking 6+ hours was because one player in our foursome dropped out after 9 holes. A course charging people to play should not be run this way.

The conditioning was just as bad. The greens felt like putting on thick carpet, the fairways were more like first cut at most other courses, and the rough was completely overgrown and poorly maintained. It was difficult to even find balls in many spots, and when you did, the lies were often almost impossible to hit from. That is not “challenging.” It is just poor upkeep.

Overall, the course did not feel like a real golf course compared to other public courses I have played. Between the brutal pace of play on a weekday and the poor conditions, I would not recommend Saxon Woods and would not play here again.

The course overall is in good shape. But they do not have enough carts as I paid for one but there none available.

Pace of play is terrible and not a ranger to found.

Unfortunately a bad day of very slow play. When I say slow, there were 6 groups on the 4th. Walked off after 3hr+ front 9.
