Maple Moor Golf Course

Located immediately off the Merritt Parkway. Was easy drive from Stamford/Norwalk. Greens were in great condition. Round flew by. Tough pin placement for a Tuesday. Would 100% go back and would 100% recommend it to others. Will be back soon.

I love playing Maple Moor. Challenging but not crazy hard. Good conditions and a fun track.

Surprised by all the negative reviews on here. This is a great course by muni standards. Conditioning is average, a few issues here and there, but nothing that impacts playability. Sure, pace of play can be slow, but if you know when to go out (and understand the etiquette of the game) you can get around in decent time.

Most importantly, this is a real golf course that will test most every shot in your bag. It’s not a particularly hard course, but has elevation changes, water hazards, and some challenging/strategic holes. You’ll enjoy it if you’re an avid golfer, though from the right tees it is gentle enough for less experienced players as well.

In short- absolutely perfect for a muni. In my view ratings like this should be against other courses in its peer group. No, it is not as nice as Winged Foot or Hudson National. But it’s not supposed to be.

For this price point in this location you can get much better fairways and rough with many dirt patches already and it's still spring. Fairways were pretty hard as well. Greens are quick and have multiple patches on them as well.

*Quality Course within 40 minutes of NYC.

*Good Walking Course to get some exercise and golf.

*Greens are the best part of this course.

*Getting an early Tee Time is extremely difficult.

This course seems to get banged up for whatever reason by reviewers. But playing in a covid world, I found the course good all around. Nothing spectacular, but a great value and a place I’d come back to again very soon.

Course renovations nice. Like the ponds. Good shape

First time I've had a chance to play the course after extensive ground and drainage renovations in 2019. Fortunate for us as we played 6 holes in medium to heavy rain. Previously this would have closed the course but it handled the wet conditions well. The tee boxes and green were in good condition and due to the rain there were enough carts to practice social distancing. Tom and the team in the pro shop where very helpful, and I bought a set of golf shoes, as they continue to have the best prices across NYC and Westchester.

Really enjoyed my day in the course. Whatever work they put in has paid off. Picturesque. I didn’t notice any flaws, balls easy to track to in the rough, seems to me like perfect fairways and greens.

People need to chill. I read reviews about how bad the fairways are and with all the renovations it WILL take time to grow everything in. The only fairways I noticed that were bad were 2 and 8. That being said, I didn’t hit every fairway (Lol) but overall, course is in decent shape, bunkers are VERY improved. This isn’t Augusta but it’s a well run course, good variety of holes and had appeal to all levels of golfers. To be transparent, I might have given 4 stars but I want to make up for everyone dumping on the course during the renovation process. It’s almost there and if your conscience lets you drop in the fairway on 1 or 2 holes, you’ll love it.

This was my second time playing MM. The last time was before the renovation and the course seems much improved. I liked the course much better this second time, and I thought it was in good shape. The staff were extremely friendly and they seemed to have the tee times spaced out. I did almost get run over by the folks picking up trash. My suggestion to them would be to take it slow when you approach players! My only other issue is the failure of most players to wear masks. I know they are annoying. I know they don't seem important as the virus wears on, but my greatest fear is that golf courses get closed again. It is a mild annoyance to protect fellow players and ensure we all get to spend the nicer months golfing.

Of the two dozen times I’ve played this course, today was my favorite. Friendly staff and great formula for starting players in an efficient fashion. Pace of play excellent, greens in great shape, brand new sand in the traps (which I found a couple times) but overall excellent. One of the best Westchester county courses.

Had one hour delay for tee time due to bad management and lack of power carts. Fairways in bad condition. Course is short but some holes are tricky.
