Worse course in the county?
They poured $5 million into a renovation and have opened it before finishing the renovation.
Major portions of the fairway on 5 holes and significant portions of the fairway on several others were completely re-sodded in June, in the middle of a heat wave. And then they opened the course to the public 2 weeks later. The predictable result is that in August, almost all of that sod is dead and now there are major bare spots throughout those fairways (holes 1, 3, 8 and 9). Construction continues on a par 4 that is now only playable as a par 3 (the 5th).
Weeds are now running rampant on tee boxes and fairways that were not affected by construction. And the greens, which were in excellent shape when the course opened on July 4, are now showing the effect of neglect with bare spots appearing. One of the goals of the renovation was to improve the irrigation system. It appears that sprinklers are not yet working.properly. A pump house was supposed to be built on one of the expanded ponds but construction has not yet started.
Oh, they give you $5 off if you walk and $10 off if you ride. They should be paying you to play this mess. It's a major scandal that so much taxpayer money could be so badly mis-managed. Who ended up with the money that was supposed to be used on the course?

Fantastic track
I have played Maple Moor probably 15-20 times, but this was my first time since 2017. The course is in fantastic shape, and they clearly put in a lot of work in their remodeling. There was still some minor construction going on (the 12th hope plays forward tees and as a par three instead of four,) but It didn’t really impact play. It was also nice because we got a $10 discount to make up for the construction. I would definitely recommend the course to anyone looking for a beautiful course with fair and challenging greens.

Not Ready for Prime Time
It’s nice to see that they are making efforts to renovate an upgrade this golf course but it is far from really the fairways are a mess the greens are in good shape but otherwise places got a long way to go

Terrible even with “rennovations”
The worst of all of the Westchester courses. The course is still a construction zone. There are no restrooms on the course and the halfway house is at the second hole and the sixteenth hole.
Save your money and play at one of the other great Westchester county courses.

Untouched renovation issues
It is apparent that the course did a major renovation but where the real problem lies is where the course wasn't touched. If you want to know how to grow crabgrass which is all over the course including tee boxes and fringes then you should ask the head groundskeeper. He seems to not know how to contain it nor does his attitude help. I hit my ball in the fairway on the 3rd hole and nothing but hornets and wasps nest all over the place,not very safe. Seems that the grass where no work was done should of grown in and not be mud. This course should be in better condition next year.

There is still a lot of construction and drainage work going on. This is necessary but detracts from the experience. By next season hopefully the work is complete and the course is in better shape.

Grounds under repair
Too much construction still going on. They should close it down and complete the job as the water draining is still an issue

Closed without any notice
Arrived an hour early to get a bit to eat, parking lot empty. I call the pro shop and the person said closed due to rain overnight. When I asked how was I supposed to know this, silence.
Apparently this course put in a new drainage system, and it does not work. All other courses in that area were open.
Pretty upsetting, ruined my Sunday.
Was looking forward to see the “upgrades” they installed. Would have been smart for them to send out an email or text about the closure.
We are so sorry for the lack of communication on our part. We will address this with management.
Soda vending machines
2nd time playing there as the soda vending machines at the turn around has expired soda from 2018 I addressed this to the restaurant owner and he apologized then a month later same scenario . Beware . As for the course condition not really great as they are still doing a lot of work and looks like they still have water draining issues

Course not playable
They are doing construction and give you a discount which is nice but the conditions of the course still are not very playable.

Not worth playing
Westchester County poured a substantial amount of money into Maple Moor and it has reopened recently. The course is NOT ready! The entire course was shabby except the greens. However, the greens were very slow.
Example: The first fairway was fully resided and was pretty brown.
The county really needed to put more work into the course before opening to the public!
We're currently putting a lot of effort into improving conditions here and we appreciate your constructive feedback.
WASTE OF MONEY GARBAGE COURSE
Made the mistake of playing this dump this season.
Greens are ok, fairways are burnt and in pieces
They charge full price and it’s still under construction
Don’t waste your time and money until next season

the front 9 is a disaster.
they have done work on the back 9 and it is pretty good, however they should wait until all the work is done to open the course.

Unfortunate situation
Can’t say I’d play here again. The starter was awful and attempted to change the pairings of groups because he saw we were women. It screwed everything up and created an uncomfortable environment. When we asked if we’d be paired with the men behind us, the starter replied, “I’m not sure. They look like golfers.” When we asked what we looked like (obviously we are golfers) he said, “you look good.” We wound up getting paired with a gentleman who I am sure never played golf with females. He made rude comments throughout the first hole. We wound up playing alone - which we made fun.
The pro shop was nice and the staff there was friendly. Good sales and pretty good products. Wish the Starter was as friendly. The course is still being renovated with areas roped off. The up-tees on 9 didn’t even have a tee box. We had to use our driver off of the high grass. Wasn’t ideal.
With so many options across Westchester County, I don’t think I’d return.
