Good course but the pace of play needed to improve
It is a good golf course that I had played many times. The last time playing was still good, but the pace of play was bad due to a group of beginners playing ahead.

Course was great but whenever I play there the first TEE box always gets backed up and always I TEE off late even though I was early for my TEE time
Opening day
The Sprain lake golf course is in good shape considering it just opened last Wednesday
Can always count on the grounds keeper and staff getting the course ready to play
They do a great job

Why have tee times
Why do you bother booking tee times? It's a free for all at the first tee. The sooner you sign there and get in line the sooner you go out? What is that? I don't have all day to set aside for golf. When we arrive 20 minutes before the tee time and they are 8 groups waiting to go out, no bueno. Not sure why this only happens here but at the other county courses. Don't get it, won't be back. Straighten out the starter situation sprain. It's a fun course but not worth the ridiculous delays .

Caddyshack moment
This is my favorite westchester county course. I decided to treat my father to a round and found a hot deal here. He loved the terrain, and how challenging the front nine was. My father is a decent golfer but usually shoots in the high 80’s - 100s however on this day he was 4 over through 9 probably playing the best he has this year. Then the heavens opened up and it started to hail. We had to bail on the back nine but enjoyed a burger and a beer in the clubhouse. We will be back and hopefully continue our stellar play. I will recommend this course to everyone.
