The St. James Indoor Simulators
Golfer Reviews
Great facility when you can’t get out to course
Parking can be a challenge. I would call the facility after making the GolfNow reservation. My reservation did NOT show up in their system. Fortunately, there were no conflicts.
Lots of different options to choose from. I just choose the practice mode because I just wanted to hit balls while there was actually snow on the ground.
Great simulator but ruined by putting shortfalls
Enjoyed hitting and choosing course but putting was terrible. Had to hit putts several times and not accurate.
Indoor Simulation
The indoor simulator wasn’t calibrated to get a true feel for your swing and accuracy. It is a very nice facility but you would need someone (staff) with you to ensure the machine was accurate. When putting it wasn’t a true putt. The machine had to be rebooted as well.
Indoor Simulator
Great staff. Lots to do at the facility aside from the golf simulator. The only issue was a staff member came to be after I was there for an hour and insinuated that I needed to leave soon even though I had a reservation. They had summer golf camp and stated it's a safety issue for unknown adults to be in there with children and their instructors. If that's the case then they shouldn't allow reservations in the mornings.
Great Experience!
The staff were very helpful and this was a great way to get in practice with a simulator.
One hour simulator
The facility is located in a large sport complex building. Paid $35 for one hour simulator. If your tee time is 4 pm, you can use one simulator 4 pm to 5 pm. Many famous courses were available. The sensors of simulator were not very accurate compared to other simulators. Two club variations (20 yards off for 7 iron) for me. I don't think it is worth it if you want to practice during cold weather season. The staffs were not very friendly. They played their own games when customers were waiting.
This place is good for getting some full swings in the winter and that's about it. It is fun to virtually play on some of the worlds most famous courses but I would not come here to figure out your swing specs. All of the bays that I have tried do not correctly record distance on any of my clubs. My shots go roughly 20-40 yards further then my averages and the spin rates are totally false as well.
Fine
Fine for what it is --- a chance to swing inside. But, it used to be nicer a year or so ago. The simulation needs to be recalibrated. Distances are way off (unless overnight I figured out a way to increase my 7i 65 yards) but dispersion a little wonky as well.
My screen was also ripped which meant you had to pick your ball out of the gash after each swing.
Again, fine for what it is but maybe just make sure expectations are kept in check.
Great simulator
If you’re looking to play a virtual round while working on a few things, it’s worth it.
Amazing Facility and Staff
I booked an hour to play at The St. James. I wasn't really sure what to expect. It ended up being one of the most unique experiences in golf and entertainment. I played Pebble Beach in about 50 minutes!!
I was able to check out what my swing was doing while playing. Being able to see the swing path, clubface angle, etc. is the best tool for my game.
The rest of the facility was immaculate with customer service, cleanliness, food and drink, etc. I will definitely be back, thank you St James!!!
