Morning view down the Par-5 5th fairway. A strong drive, especially to the center-right fairway, sets you up to go for the green in two! Photo submitted by vmustang on 04/25/2021

Great course in a very unsuspecting area
This course feels like it’s in the center of a city but the play through feels wide open, fun course to play. If you want a good round stay in the fairways!
Sand needs consistency
That's it. Fun course. If you know, you know. Sand inconsistent in how it plays from hoke to hole
SM round
Tee time delayed 15 minutes, pace of play on course was super slow, no ranger anywhere, course conditions were great.
Great course in Chandler
I had not played this course in a long time and decided to give it another try. Last time I played it it was not in the best condition. It has a great layout and the first four holes are very difficult.
The tee boxes could still use some work but the fairways and green were in very good shape.
Fun course to play
San Marcos GC, Chandler,AZ. It's a great old traditional style GC. Tree's that's looks a hundred years or more old line the fairways. I have played this course many times over the years and the value for the money is better than many of the higher prices golf courses. The fairways and greens are well maintained, the staff are a friendly group of people. Please if you have an opportunity to play San Marcos please do so, you won't be disappointed.
Awesome Experience
Great service, brought a friend that never played the course, loved the layout and conditions
Good but not great
Nice course, good layout but one huge issue. Greens are narrow, very hard, and short sided bunker shots are everywhere. Only issue is there is almost no sand in the traps to accommodate this kind of shot. Do yourself a favor and just pick it out of the bunkers and play from the grass behind them.
Disappointed
To start the day our tee time was delayed due to the group in front of us was late by 15 minutes. The starter allowed them to jump in front of us for some reason.
Then the pace of play was horrible by the Marshall not doing his due diligence by watching the golfers. Our round was almost 6 hours because several groups where playing from the blue tees and could not hit it past the red tees. A decent Marshall could have corrected this issue.
Last but not least the greens keeper cut the new hole however when he filled the previous days location he just placed it in and made no effort to blend it in. A few holes were sunk in 1” to almost 2” below the level of the green.
This course was in better shape the last time I played it with no issues however it’s that time of year where money is more important then quality. So even though my review will fall on def ears I will spend my personal time to make sure the course is not played by anyone I know.
