DAY OF JOY
A TRULY JOYFUL ROUND OF GOLF.
GREAT TRACK
SUPERIOR COURSE CONDITIONS
i HAVE PLAY 40 GOLF COURSES IN AZ (AT LEAST) AND THIS WAS MY FAVORITE ALL AROUND GOLF EXPERIENCE.
DO NOT HESITATE, GO PLAY THIS IF YOU HAVE NOT. IF YOU HAVE, GO BACK TO REMEMBER HOW GOOD IT IS.
JUST A GOLF TOURIST
Perfect conditions
Had a great time playing this course.. beautiful weather.. course was in great shape… staff super friendly all around… pace of play wasn’t too slow… group in front of us was a father with some young boys but he kept them moving along… the boys actually hit some good shots… price is a little high but it is peak season so it’s to be expected… definitely gonna come back again, to play the Faldo course.
Surprise ending
The charge of $10 to exit parking lot took a bit of wind out of my sails. It was overall an excellent golf experience. Maybe the parking charge can be absorbed by owners.
Wildfire -Faldo
Very nice course. Conditions were excellent, even though it was a cart pace only day. (No one mentioned that, the golf cart told us). The starter did help us get out 20 minutes earlier, which was appreciated. Finished in 4 hours as a two some (again, cart path only). Still, a very nice day. Excellent practice facility. Heads up on parking….take the parking ticket into the pro shop to get it validated. Use the validated ticket to exit at the end.
Superb Staff/ Felt like a private club
Front nine: Too many sand traps. Several holes essentially had forced Carrie’s to greens because of
Multiple traps.
Back nine was way better. Still lots of traps but entry lanes to the greens.
Also, very impressed with the staff.
Advice from a Local - Play This Course!
Both Palmer and Faldo courses will treat you well. Faldo has more features and sand, Palmer has more shape and hidden washes behind hills. Both are fun, challenging, and in decent shape for the time of year we played.
Having played several mod and high level courses in the north valley and Scottsdale area from Troon, TPC Champions, McDowell, Cave Creek and others, the Marriott courses are a great choice and and you get what you pay for. There are some nicer courses, sure. But there are many many more worse courses that cost more!
Worth it
Great course! Love the layout and it’s always in great condition.
Best course I’ve played
Just a great overall course, challenging and well kept. I’ll be back
