JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort & Spa

I have played this course many times over the past several years. It is very scenic, well maintained, and with a nice variety of holes. However, on this occasion the pace of play was atrocious.Not a ranger in sight to move things along, and calls to the pro shop went unanswered!

Cart failed on 8th hole . Staff were unable to solve and basically denied any responsibility so walked a few holes but it was more the attitude of staff that was disappointing .

Beautiful Layout. Fazio Course was loaded with bunkers, but greens were fast and fair.

I was visiting the Phoenix, Scottsdale area and did a lot of research on the local golf courses. Talking Stick was a place I had heard about and was dead set on going there but my girlfriend had us staying at Marriott at Desert Ridge and I saw the 2 courses there. I decided to give Faldo a shot because it looked like it was in fantastic shape . Boy was it !!! What a fantastic course. Lots of bunkers though but the place is so well maintained. You won’t be disappointed if you get a tee time here !!!

Very fun and fair golf course. Great conditions, considering all the rain we’ve had.

Well playing slow always increases your strokes and this round confirms this thought. My wife does not understand golf nd thinks it’s a dumb game since you pay a lot of money to try to hit the ball less!!! Guess she’s right but our group got their moneys worth yesterday.

I golfed with two buddies at 2:25 knowing that there was a chance we wouldn't be able to finish our round. Golf was great up until the 11th hole when 1 of our carts died. We requested someone to come out to our carts literally 9 times. We called the club house and resort multiple times each and could never get a hold of anyone. We called from 4:40-5:00 since the clubhouse closed at 5. No one came or even spoke to us except one time we got through to the resort and asked them to transfer us to the club house. They never did and then hung up on us. We ditched the cart and the 3 of us finished a many holes as we could with only 1 cart. When we returned, no one really cared and that was really disappointing.

Can't complain. Loved everything about the course. I played both courses few days. Loved it. I would definitely play these again. There was variety all throughout.

Really enjoyed the course, well maintained, perfect fairways & greens. Great fun course for every level of player. Not a typical resort course, thanks.
