Fun round
First time playing this course. Great from the get-go helpful staff set you up to go on your way and then you're off on either Palmer or faldo.
Good design with desert in play. Gotta make some shots. Typical brown grass on the edges but all the parts that mattered were green and the greens themselves ran true. Had a fun time and the pace of play was the best! I would definitely come back and play again.
world class
every time I play this course I smile and want to thank everyone at Wildfire for how well they keep the course and customer service is off the chart.
Difficult course if your game isn’t in top form
I didn't play my best. However, the views of the surrounding area and the raw beauty of the desert scenes made this a memorable round of golf.
Great course
Not too long, lots of traps, great true greens
You need a good short game to score well
Play it again
We first played on our 2021 golf trip and really enjoyed the course. Just played it in 2022 and we all said it was even better the second time around.
Staff is friendly, great practice facilities and the course was in great shape.
We will be back.
Can’t go wrong with a Palmer Course
A bit tighter than the Faldo course, but very nice. Conditions were excellent and we finished in under 4 hours (barely) with a 12:30 tee time.
I always enjoy playing either of these courses., but they have gotten very expensive. As such I only play when I can get a discounted tee time.
One of my favorites in the desert
Played behind a 5-some and still finished in under 3 hours!!
As with all Marriott run courses, staff were extremely friendly.
Greens and fairways were in excellent condition. Rough was dormant, typical for this time of year. Faldo course has lots of bunkers so bring your sand game.
Good course
Got a reasonable rate on golf now. Not a $250 course but great for $100. Condition was immaculate like most resort courses.
Sonoran desert gem
I and an owner at the Marriott Canyon Villas. I love Wilfire Golfclub! Been here about 15 years or more!
Be Mindful of over-seeding times.
We thought the course was great! Would have been much better if we could drive off of the cart path. Greens were also super slow and kind of bumpy due to over-seeding but we totally understood and adjusted accordingly. I will definitely go back a d try again once the conditions are different.
Not up to par
Overall I really like this course, however condition of course was average compared to when I have played it before.
I don’t feel it’s worth the full rack price they are charging at this time.
