The Wigwam Arizona
About The Wigwam Arizona
Located in the West Valley near Phoenix-Scottsdale is one of Arizona's most historic golf resorts, Wigwam. Set on 440 acres, this village-style resort features three 18-hole golf courses, including two designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., most notably the famous Gold Course. The resort features 331 casitas and suites with large private patios and several resort pools, including a new 25-foot water slide tower. The resort-style golf courses are more parkland in nature than surrounding desert courses and feature palm trees and water hazards sprinkled throughout. There are four dining concepts, led by the signature Litchfield's Restaurant serving local farm-to-table cuisine, while there is Red's Bar & Grill for casual fare and the Wigwam Bar, which is the social epicenter of the resort. Recreation outside of the 54 holes of golf is nine lighted tennis course and two regulation bocce-ball courts, sand volleyball, bike rentals and yard games.Facts

Pace of Play was horrible
Pace of play was horrible. Over 5 hours for the round. Marshall finally rolled through when we were on 14th hole. He attempted to explain what was causing the delay. He informed us that he told the groups ahead of us to play “ready” golf. Unfortunately the groups ahead of didn’t know the meaning of this term or he didn’t explain it well enough to them.
Wigwam
We have not played this course for several years and it may be due to the time of year, but not as green as I remembered it in the past. When we got to hole 11 or so, there were delays of at least 5 minutes per hole. Sometimes these things can’t be avoided
The female staff at the front counter was friendly. The golf marshal was accommodating and friendly as well .
I think the staff at the wigwam golf call in centre could use more customer service training on friendliness.
Red course
I really enjoyed playing the red course the greens look pretty fast but there slower than they appear, Larry the PA was very nice he was doing his best to improve the pace of play and the starter was very attentive to everyone explaining pin placement and asking if they had a scorecard.
I’d play it again

Amazing course for the price
The price was great, greens were amazing! Rolling true!
Conditions were awesome! Staff was friendly
Parking Sucks
Arrived 40 minutes early an there was no parking in the lot or on the street. I would have missed my tee time having to walk back to the course from any parking spot I would found. They told me to park in the dirt lot down the street but warned me it belonged to the city. Then they told me to contact Golf now I'm sure knowing it was to late to cancel and get my money back.
absolute no fun
boring layout, horrible and unfair Greens ( Turtle shields; never again
The entire course was in great shape. Greens very quick. Hard to keep your ball on the greens as they were fairly hard but pretty smooth. Staff helpful including the starter. He explained all about the course, rules, cart person, etc. Will definitely be going back. Price definitely worth the money.
Excellent!
The staff from check-in to starter to beverage service were all very helpful and friendly. Given the season, I was surprised by the condition of the course…very green! Love the mix of holes on the course, great variety. Much appreciate that range balls are included in the fee, wish every course was that polite to their customers. The greens were perfect, fast & smooth, and we played in well under 4 hours.
All in all, a great experience.
Course in great shape
Course was in great shape from tee off boxes to greens . Loved the pin placement , makes for a challenging game .
Terrible parking!!!
I had a 9:40 tee time. I arrived 45 minutes early to a parking lot filled to capacity. The bag dropped said I would need to find a spot on the street. There were no spots on the street and the golf shop suggested I park in the dirt lot down the street. They were sure to let me know it did not belong to them and was owened by the city. I wasn't sure what that meant but I didn't want to get towed so I chose not to. By this time I didn't have time to walk back to the course and make my tee time. They canceled my tee time and offered me nothing. They said I would need to call GOLF NOW to get a refund. I'm sure they knew it was to late to get a refund.
You have three courses and not enough parking?
