The Wigwam Arizona
About The Wigwam Arizona
Located in the West Valley near Phoenix-Scottsdale is one of Arizona's most historic golf resorts, Wigwam. Set on 440 acres, this village-style resort features three 18-hole golf courses, including two designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., most notably the famous Gold Course. The resort features 331 casitas and suites with large private patios and several resort pools, including a new 25-foot water slide tower. The resort-style golf courses are more parkland in nature than surrounding desert courses and feature palm trees and water hazards sprinkled throughout. There are four dining concepts, led by the signature Litchfield's Restaurant serving local farm-to-table cuisine, while there is Red's Bar & Grill for casual fare and the Wigwam Bar, which is the social epicenter of the resort. Recreation outside of the 54 holes of golf is nine lighted tennis course and two regulation bocce-ball courts, sand volleyball, bike rentals and yard games.Facts

Great resort
Play wigwam every year while visiting. Far and wide one of the best priced fo the solid condition. Greens always fast fairways and rough is lush. Can’t say enough good things on the course. Gold course will play as long as you desire, elevated greens that are well protected by well manicured bunkers. A great challenge every time. This isn’t a standard desert course more like a traditional parkland. Lastly best proshop stock around always something nice to pickup.
Fantastic course - very disappointing reception
We are regulars at Wigwam - not members, but snowbirds who play here several times/week. We’ve been regulars for 5+ years. We bring friends and neighbors here too. The course is amazing and the amenities are too. Because of the parking lot logistics, I drop off the clubs and park, and my wife works with the staff to get our bags on carts etc. This past visit was not the normal experience, but it was horrible. Staff directed my wife to pick any cart she wanted and didn’t load the club for her. She did it herself. She always tips well for the help. But no help. No one offered to help us after our round either. No club cleaning, no help getting clubs to the bag drop.
Not sure what the issue is - trouble hiring staff, …??? We will try it one more time, and if things don’t change, then we will definitely take advantage of other courses in the area. Very disappointed!! Wanted to give 1 star, but we’ve received far better help in the past. So, generously hoping this was an anomaly.
Patriot Course 👍👍
I walked the course and from tee to green it was in very good condition. They do a very good job with all three courses. Greens were a little tricky, stay below the holes on the course if you can. Fairways and ruff have some land mine from the birds but other wise excellent shape.
I would recommend this course.
👍👍⛳️😎
We enjoyed our round
Everything was in great shape, greens were quick. They had a great practice area. Only thing I would say is they don’t have an open restaurant in the morning for breakfast, but they do have a Snack Shack available. Overall great resort course, would play again
Nice course but unaffordable now
The price before Christmas was $62.00. now it's. $ 115.00 . Too bad nice course .
Top 50 AZ Course
This course is in great condition tee to green. They provide a multitude of tee box options for all skill levels. Green roll true. No complaints. It’s easy to see how this was recently included in the top 50 AZ courses.
The Gold course is a good challenge from tee to green. Course itself is in really good shape.
Great Greens!
Gold Course. These may be the best greens I’ve played in Phoenix area. Receptive, undulated and pretty quick! I’d play again for sure
Great Staff
Played 2 days in a row ( Gold & Blue). Their staff was 5 Star and so were the courses and the amenities!!!!
Terrible setup for holiday weekend
Second time playing wigwam gold and likely will not go back. Course was very poorly managed with no rangers anywhere leading to a painful 5:15 round. Rough was very overseeded and difficult to find your ball, and when you do advance it. Just a terrible decision by the course with so many novice golfers in town for the holiday. Every tee box was a ten minute wait as folks playing your hole and from other holes searched for balls. Course itself was challenging and COULD be fun if there was any kind of flow to the round.
Surprise they are charging full price
Played on Veterans Day … cart path only not really good mowed fairway In my opinion.. greens were really slow and have been punched a while ago but you could definitely tell . Wait a week or two
Very nice
Pretty nice little course,,makes u feel good about ur game
Thank you Wigwam…
A very good experience—played the Red course today,. Friendly staff, great conditions, nice pace of play.
