The Wigwam Arizona
About The Wigwam Arizona
Located in the West Valley near Phoenix-Scottsdale is one of Arizona's most historic golf resorts, Wigwam. Set on 440 acres, this village-style resort features three 18-hole golf courses, including two designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., most notably the famous Gold Course. The resort features 331 casitas and suites with large private patios and several resort pools, including a new 25-foot water slide tower. The resort-style golf courses are more parkland in nature than surrounding desert courses and feature palm trees and water hazards sprinkled throughout. There are four dining concepts, led by the signature Litchfield's Restaurant serving local farm-to-table cuisine, while there is Red's Bar & Grill for casual fare and the Wigwam Bar, which is the social epicenter of the resort. Recreation outside of the 54 holes of golf is nine lighted tennis course and two regulation bocce-ball courts, sand volleyball, bike rentals and yard games.Facts

Love Wigwam
The. course conditions were great!! Great weather, pace of play was slow due to the women's league.
Friendly staff, nice layout
Open layout with small and undulating greens. They were not extremely quick but can be a challenge. Well worth thee price.
Pace of Play
Our threesome finished in aprox 3 1/2 hrs. The reason I didn’t rate pace of play higher is because after hole #2, we had another threesome breathing down our necks. We let them play thru. 30 minutes later we let a single go by. We were by no means playing slowly. (3 1/2 hrs). Nice round but it would have been nice not to be constantly looking over our shoulders.
Favorite Course
I always love driving from Northern AZ to golf at the Wig Wam!
Tough course
Great course to challenge any level of. All the greens are raised and undulating. Great test of golf. Greens are smooth and have good pace to them
Overall good
Great coirse layout, greens were good speed. Not undulating but sloped. Good value but pace of play was brutal 5:20 . Bit would definitely play again.
Decent but short course
The Blue Course is one of three courses. It is a fairly short course. Course conditions were decent. Flat fairways but challenging greens. I found the value to be fair, however I’m a believer that golf prices in the Phoenix area are unreasonably high. Staff was friendly.
Fun and challenging course
It is always a fun time to play at Wigwam. Greens are the biggest challenge especially if you get above the hole. Good variety of holes and tee boxes for everyone. Reds is a nice place to relax after the round.
Sleeper
Played this course at the end of April. Have played all over the Valley, this course is in the top 10% condition wise. Parkland style course with smaller undulating greens, worth the money all day long
