La Quinta Resort & Club

We were a twosome so hit from the tips! Shot about +10 over my usual but who cares when you’re playing where the pros do. Entire experience was first class. I’ll be back (not sure my wife will, it’s big!!!)

Course was overall in good shape that i believe reasonable for its price.

Good design, very little amenities. 1/2 completed projects surrounding course. Played with 3 locals they paid 1/4 what i did. Overseed did not take uniformly so shaggy in places, I did not get many bad lies. Lots of blind shots, helpful to play with someone that knows course. Greens were decent.

Had a great experience golfing at this great course. The only drawback was on the back nine we encountered a fivesome that somehow got ahead of us and they played so slow. It made life miserable for everybody behind them. Do not know why the Marshal didn’t break them up.

Was impressed with greens conditions and speed. Good pace and always a fun course to play.

Though we were not holding up the foursome behind, the marshal kept pushing us and watched every shot we did like a hawk for three holes; and we ended up messing up instead. He didn’t even consider the fact that it added time to walk to your ball on every shot since it was cart path only. Our round turned out to be miserable because of that marshal.

FYI, we also played Stadium the day before and the marshal was very helpful & offered us water as we played the course. We enjoyed that round.

Layout is great, but greens do not hold, and they are all elevated. The greens need another year yo soften up and hold.

Round was over 4.5 hours. Brutal pace of play. Good thing it’s beautiful:)

Pace of play was very slow - Marshall’s should be more proactive!

First time player. I enjoyed he plateaued fairways

and beautiful par threes. Bunkers were plenty but sand was not great. Lots of tee boxes to choose from.

Lots of challenging holes. 9. 16, 18 are tremendous holes with water.

Bring your '"A"game because this course is fairly hard.

Course was in good shape, could drive carts on fairways. Greens were hard and fast and a big change from other courses.

The Marshal/Staff let us down though. First, they said there would be water and ice at the comfort station, but there wasn’t. And they didn’t tell us the code to the washroom.

My son and I are single digit players and played from Black tees. The twosome who were supposed to join us weren’t there on time so we were about to go as a twoso when Lo and behold the husband/wife arrived (we were delayed a few minutes as our GPS didn’t work and we switched carts). While they were nice people, there was no way they should have been playing this course. It made for a very long and excruciating round - ruining the experience for my son and I unfortunately. We were looking for balls and waiting (and almost getting hit) on every hole. She probably shot 200. The Marshal talked to them once, but it had no effect. There were two groups behind us on almost every hole. By the turn we were so frustrated it killed our rounds and we should have gone off on our own. But we didn’t want to be rude, and they were oblivious to their slow play (hitting extra balls, never knowing where their shot went, etc etc). It would have been nice if the Marshall had told my son and I to play on and had husband/wife play as a twosome so other groups could play through. I’m sure a lot of groups didn’t get to finish their round because of their slow play. Note to starters and Marshals- evaluate the players abilities before pairing them together.
