Great day except for Cart Path only

Great conditions, don't really see why it is Cart Path Only, the fairways are perfect. Greens are rolling good.

PGA WEST Jack Nicklaus Tournament Course

Course was great and condition was great for the time of the year. Pace was ok, but there was 4 groups on the 8th hole and there was no marshal. If pace of play was good course would have been 5 stars.

Not for high handicaps! Greens were more difficult than other Pete Dye greens I’ve played. Too many false fronts sides backs you name it🤪 CONDITIONS NOT BEST DUE TO NEW OVER SEED. Beware first time visitors at this time of year. Course layout great less super tricked up greens. Putting fine holding edge green approach shoots…forget it!

Pace of play

Beautiful layout, course in great condition , but stacking tee times back to back and going out in mixed couple foursomes is a bad recipe, everybody hits from a different tee box and you get anxious from people hitting up on you! They should ask skill level when they check in the pro shop, I get it people pay a big ticket to play and want to finish their round but 5 hour rounds?

Awesome track

Have not played in years but would highly recommend to anyone. Super quick greens will frustrate you to no end if you have not been playing greens this fast. Sand in the traps was very consistent giving you opportunity t to get out first time. Layout is very pleasing to the eye. Course is in great shape, staff are very attentive and carts have great capability GPS and display. We started at 1:40 pm but despite daylight savings time change, pace of play allowed us to get 17 holes done. A fantastic afternoon!

Fantastic

Only bad thing was the tee boxes. Would be nice to have them level. But other than that great track!

Incredible mountain scenery at PGA West

PGA West, including the Stadium course and the public 36-hole facility home to the Pete Dye Dunes and Pete Dye Mountain courses, is fresh off of an extensive three-year, multi-million-dollar renovation by Tim Liddy, Dye's long-time right-hand man. The architectural team hand-dug around the bunkers and greens of all three courses to restore them to their original shapes and contours. The Pete Dye Clubhouse also received a makeover, including a casual new restaurant called The Bunker Bar, home to two new Trackman 4 golf simulators available to the public. Playing the Mountain Course takes golfers on an epic journey into the foothills of the Santa Rosa Mountains on the back nine. If your ball doesn't end off pinging off of the rocks at some point, you've played well. The scenery makes the Dye-induced doubles more tolerable.

SLOW

Showed up to the starter and was informed we would be teeing off 15-20 minutes behind. Played the first hole and had to wait for 2 groups to play the second hole. Then on hole 3 one of the carts died/ malfunctioned. Called the clubhouse twice to get a replacement and didn’t get one until the turn at hole 9. Marshall had attitude about the whole situation saying they didn’t have a lot of carts. Then when we pulled up to the clubhouse the employee said they had tons of carts… smh. Conditions weren’t optimal I assume because of the season. All practice ranges were closed as well. A lot of money for an average experience.

Pace of Play Plagues PGA

The overall attitude towards pace of play is very weak. 5 hour rounds are the staff’s expectation

Great Course, Amazing views.

Great time playing. Bit slow play though as some high handicap folks ahead did not keep pace and probably shouldn’t have been on course of this caliber. Staff were great! Will be back!
