It was a nice day of play at PGA West - Nickalaus Tournament course. Our only real complaint was slow play. We waited on every hole an almost every shot. The gentleman we were playing with called the course to complain and they sent a ranger who did nothing. Slow play made it seem like a really long day.

Too disorganized at first hole. Pro shop dumps u on starter who has 50 sheets of paper on his table. Not friendly. All groups teeing off late. The late time groups there was no direction to play quickly and we saw the Marshall and he just drove by the group ahead of us that were definetly out of position and holding us up. We played Terra Lago at the exact same time and got it in the day before.

Course was magnificent, first time playing this course. Staff was friendly as usual. I have played the Mountain course several times

I had played the Mountain course just close a few years ago which had given me good memories . Was looking for a PGA course at reasonable price. We played the silver tee box , the course was not in a really good shape , long grass outside of fairways on the first nine holes, not a great layout on this nine . The second nine has a better look and condition , a links’ style . But had played the Norman , Nicklaus and Stadium courses the last years and other public courses as well . This is not worth the price payed .

There is very little that can be improved upon here. The bag team was quick and efficient. The pro shop staff was very welcoming and appreciative of our business. The practice green, chipping green and driving range were all a short walk from the clubhouse and in great shape. The starter was friendly and effective at optimizing the departures. From the first tee box through the last putt, the conditions were as good as any course I have ever played. Greens were quick (9) and rolled true. The bunkers, despite their small size and terrifying depth were immaculate. The fairways were like a carpet. Everywhere you looked was scenery worth remembering. It’s admittedly pricey, but a good deal from GolfNow turned a nice day into a truly memorable golf experience.

Title says it all, world class golf on the center stage . Immaculate course and views, facilities on par. We were 15 minutes behind schedule by hole 3, being a 2some behind an elderly 4some. One call to the pro shop, 1 rude and 1 kind Marshall later, and they allowed us to jump around skipping hole 4, playing 17 holes in total just before sundown. Overall I would do it again at the discounted rate that I received

Martial wasn’t out late from what it looked like. Had a group in front that took forever.

First time playing this course. The clubhouse is what to expect from a Palm Springs/Palm Desert resort. They load your clubs and have your cart ready while you check in. Staff was equally friendly and professional. The first sight of the course grounds was breathtaking. The course was in perfect condition. My group was the last to go out at 12:09. The group ahead of us kept good pace and no one behind us. Greens were very firm(as they should be), so there were not many ball marks on the greens. Fairways were plush and the rough was pretty thick. I can't wait to play there again.

My only complaint was the glizzy at the turn, 6/10. Other than that, hard to beat.

great and playable track. tough pins but forgiving fairways. greens ran true despite the steady drizzle all afternoon. teed off at 1:38pm and got 15 holes in before darkness.

The course was in pristine condition!!! Had a tee time at 2pm unfortunately couldn’t play last few holes due to it getting dark. Otherwise fabulous day, round and the course was in great condition. I will be back but earlier tee time this time of year.

Truly great layout, if you haven’t played it, you should!

My son and I are 20 handicaps, so go by that baseline. We chose the Dunes course from online reviews as we were specifically looking for the most playable course of the PGA West courses for our handicap indexes. The course is scenic and aesthetically wonderful. Great pro shop, range, etc. We found the Dunes course, however, to be very punitive. Flag placements might as well have been for Sunday at Augusta and the greens themselves are very hard (even after a heavy rain) and rarely hold a shot. Plus, half are bottle caps and undulating so any errant shot likely will roll off and down a hill. There's just no forgiveness. Fairways are in great shape but it's not easy to find an even lie. My advice: very challenging so if you are not at minimum a 10, hcp you will not find this enjoyable.
