About Pacific Palms Resort
Pacific Palms Resort is billed as "LA's hilltop hideaway", the only full-service luxury golf and conference resort in Los Angeles County. The setting of the 292-room hotel and two golf courses by William F. Bell and Casey O'Callaghan is set against the San Gabriel Valley Mountains. Live music and jazz sets the mood at the Red Restaurant and Bar. The Industry Hills Golf Club's Eisenhower and Zaharias courses have been upgraded over the years with new turf and infrastructure, but their historical layouts remain unchanged.Facts

Tight
Well the course was tight. And they left me leave with a golf cart that had 13% I didn’t realize at the time. Well 7th hole it died. We had to walk a hole they got us a new one and ZERO compensation. Easy job to make sure cart is charge how does this happen.
This course plays about as fast as special ed kids read
Absolutely atrocious the pace of play here. Had an 1110 teatime this morning on a Wednesday. It’s been four hours and we’re on the 12th hole. It’s a nice layout, the staff is fine, the course amenities are actually great, it’s the pace of play that earned their rating today. I won’t be back.
It was a perfect play.
Although lost some money, but the challenge is memorized and we will come back.
Pacific Palms Delight
The course was in great shape. It was nice to see them working hard to keep the course looking sweet! Pace of play was great, finishing in just under 4 hours. Greens we in good condition. Bunkers were a little hard, but that was probably due to the recent rains.
Maintenance is Necessary
Tee boxes and bunkers needs serious improvements. Uneven/bare tee boxes has always been a issue. Hardly any sand in the bunkers. For what they're charging for greens fees, fundamental maintenance should enforced. It's still one of the favorite courses to play but they're elite status is exponentially slipping to mediocre. Since there's such a demand these days, the supply can get away with mediocrity. It's sad the LPGA Kia tournament has never returned and rightfully so. I typically refuse to play 3 star or less courses but Industry hills (Ike/Babe) is approaching there in record time.
Concrete would be more forgiving: bad bunkers.
I used to love this course but it's headed downhill. The bunkers are harder than concrete which with firm and fast greens is near unplayable. Start the day on the range (kidding) you'll hit golf balls that feel like your hitting a hockey puck and it will leave an impression on your clubs that take a few weeks of scrubbing to get off. Course layout is good, fairways are decent but won't hold, and god forbid you find yourself in a sandless concrete bunker with a short sided pin. Aim for the cart path as you'll have a better chance generating spin off of that then the bunkers.
