Pala Mesa Resort

The course was decent but the greens were like putting on a hardwood floor. I like fast greens but i don’t like my ball almost stopping at the cup only to continue 15 feet past. Some holes had my ball coming to a stop near the cup and then rolling back. There are better courses near by for a better price.

No ball cleaners, no spike cleaners, lackadaisical staff, crappy range balls, no cart drink service, one water cooler on each side, both empty...

I’ve seen some pretty rough reviews. This must have been before the casino took ownership. The casino has put in lots of money into improving the course. They drilled two new wells so the watering is great and it shows by how lush the course is. The sand traps are filled with new sand. The staff was extremely helpful. The course layout is fair. The first three holes are tight, but the rest of the course opens up. The greens are in great shape all be it fast. I’m scheduled to play there later this week.

A resort course with a muni feel to it. There was no starter at the starter's shack. The water coolers on the course were completely worthless, since there were no cups available to drink out of!

Basically, it is a nice course with a good layout, but not the resort course experience you would expect.

Have played this course many times and always enjoy the course. Pricing has always been fair for a resort course. Noticed dramatic increase in price. New ownership? Course conditions have not been elevated to meet the new price point. While most of the greens are in good to great shape, the t-boxes are in need of leveling and seeding. The bunker and fairway conditions are inconsistent. I don't see myself returning to play unless I am able to get a hot deal or special rate given the price vs conditions.

I think the course should offer Fallbrook residents a break in price or offer a deal to buy 5 rounds.

Loved this course to play but recently the prices have gotten out of hand. I wouldn’t pay 90 or the 120 they normally ask to play here. Definitely not worth the price. Missed the days of $75 to play

twosome 7AM tee time. never saw another golfer. Greens were pretty fast and had a lot of subtle breaks. Very pleased with the course.

Cost should keep up with competition to have more people play the course. I believe 50-60$ would be a reasonable price. Beautiful course would totally play again!

This course was really neglected for a long time, but new ownership has really turned it around. Conditions are really improved. Still on the average side, but a lot better than the beginning of 2023, for sure. However, it’s still not worth the $120 prime time rate. There’s a lot to do before it can command that price, but overall….. it’s a fun and much more enjoyable course now. Great Job. Looking forward to seeing more from Pala.

When in the world did this course start charging $120 to play on the weekends? Is there some reason for the crazy price increase?

I understand the need to aereate the greens but there should be discount off the green fees.

There was so much sand on the greens it made putting unrealistic.
