The ranch-style Pala Mesa Resort in Fallbrook is just minutes away from Temecula wine country. All 132 rooms have either been renovated or will be soon. A heated outdoor pool, four lighted tennis courts and fitness room are available to guests. The golf course starts out narrow but gets more scenic with more elevation changes later in the round.Facts

Conditions are improving
This course was really neglected for a long time, but new ownership has really turned it around. Conditions are really improved. Still on the average side, but a lot better than the beginning of 2023, for sure. However, it’s still not worth the $120 prime time rate. There’s a lot to do before it can command that price, but overall….. it’s a fun and much more enjoyable course now. Great Job. Looking forward to seeing more from Pala.

When in the world did this course start charging $120 to play on the weekends? Is there some reason for the crazy price increase?

Aereated greens not at full price!
I understand the need to aereate the greens but there should be discount off the green fees.
There was so much sand on the greens it made putting unrealistic.

Not really worth the cost.
We played midweek at 10 AM. The course was pretty wide open. Only saw two other golfers. The greens were in great shape, but the bunkers were all washed out from the rain in August. Fairways were thin in places. When we made the turn, nobody in the snack bar, no refreshment cart, no water anywhere on the course. Also, no water in any of the ball washers. Overall so so experience, but elite cost. Will not repeat.

New sand in most of the sand traps & watering the fairways now. Moving in the right direction definitely!

I’ve played here several times and the course is getting better each time. Currently placing new sand in the sand traps.

Good Greens Mediocre Course
Conditions were poor, but the greens were in great condition which makes up for a lot. Bit of a funky layout to protect the course being short. Staff was super friendly and for $50 it did the trick but would not pay anymore then that.

Decent course- would play again
Course conditions and layout were pretty good.
Not super plush but decent. Greens were excellent though.
